I applied in-person and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Burlington Coat Factory in March 2012.

Interview Details – Typical, ask about prior work experience, how many hours can you work, when can you start and ask a few simple questions about your personality.

Interview Question – It is easy to answer questions.   View Answer

Negotiation Details – There was not much of a negotiation. They will not mention it is minimum wage unless you ask and it is none negotiable. Also you can only get a 10 cents raise a year.

I applied online and the process took 5 days - interviewed at Burlington Coat Factory in June 2013.

Interview Details – I received the call to come in for an interview about two days after filling out the application online. The actual interview lasted ten minutes - at most. The first couple of minutes were about my availability; he told me he was looking for somebody that was available indefinitely on book weekdays and weekends. Then, he read off a list of about 6-8 questions of the "Tell me about a time when..." format. He listened pretty carefully to my answers and responded to me before taking a minute to write them down. Sometimes, he would read the question and say something like "well, you kind of covered that situation in your other answer...", so he would just skip it. At the end of the list of questions, he told me that he would like to offer me a position, but I had to authorize a background check and it had to come back clear first. He sent me the email that afternoon, and hired me the very next day.

Interview Question – They were pretty straight forward questions. "Tell me about a time you made a mistake with a customer, and how you handled it." type of question.   Answer Question

I applied online - interviewed at Burlington Coat Factory in November 2012.

Interview Details – I filled out the application and received a phone call for an interview a few days later. I went to the interview - typical interview questions with one that threw me off. Sadly, I can't remember what it was. Anyways: The manager was very nice and said I would receive a phone call after a week - I never did, but I'm not surprised because Home Depot did the same thing to me.

Interview Question – I can't remember; maybe it was something about independence?   Answer Question
