Financial Services Representative II Interview

Financial Services Representative II

I applied online and the process took 3 days - interviewed at CIBC in October 2013.

Interview Details – The interviewers asked questions about my resume and work experience. Then we had to role play a situation as if I was the representative behind a desk and the interviewer was a client.

Interview Question – Was most surprised by having to role play a scenario. They focused more on the discussion you were able to have with a client, how well you listend, and judged your response to their answers. In one scenario, the client kept mentioning her husband, so it was best to suggest setting up an appointment with him there. They were not focused on the actual banking products since they will teach those in training.   Answer Question

Director Interview

Director
Toronto, ON (Canada)

I applied online and the process took 2 months - interviewed at CIBC in September 2010.

Interview Details – Initially you will have a screening interview with an HR representative for 15 minutes, if you pass this interview you will be invited in to meet with the hiring manager and then you will be invited into a third interview with your hiring manager's manager.

Interview Question – Each people manager has enough flexibillity to ask specific role based questions. There is no script and generally no HR oversight of the people manager interviews. The questions are generally based on the hiring manager, my manager hired for fit and skills where some just hire for one or the other.   View Answer

Negotiation Details – The offer was fair and and I received everything I had asked for in my interview.

Asked questions pertaining to confidentiality, compliance, and some specifics pertaining to the job. Was asked to speak in french for a portion of the interview as the position was bilingual.
