I applied online – interviewed at Capital Group in December 2014.

    Interview Details

It was an incredibly long process. I applied around mid November. They emailed me the next day for an online interview using my webcam. They have me 72 hours to complete that portion. It took me about 25 minutes. The next week they contacted me for a phone interview which took about 20 minutes. The lady told me she would submit my info and they would contact me if they wanted to proceed. I actually did not hear back from them for a few weeks and then they finally called for a face to face interview which they scheduled for mid December. It consisted of two face to face interviews in one day and a your of the campus. Lasted about 2.5 hours. Everyone was super friendly and the interview was not hard at all. The next day they called me for references which is the last part of the hiring process. It took about a month and then they finally called me for my offer.

The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at Capital Group.

    Interview Details

After submitting my resume on their website, I was contacted via email to complete a "virtual interview". However, the day before I was scheduled to do it, a recruiter called me and set up a time to do a phone interview and told me not to worry about completing the virtual/digital interview. I was called the next day by her and completed the phone interview, which took about 30-40 minutes. She said she was going to refer me to the recruiters at the job location site since I seemed like a good fit. I was then contacted the next day and scheduled my face to face interviews. I was sent an email with a more thorough and formal application for the specific position, as well as some other paperwork consisting of background info and a few other questions for them to gauge your answers/responses to. The F2F interviews consisted of 2 interviews, one with a HR rep, then one with a Department Manager. After completing these interviews, we listened to a couple of mock phone calls to kind of show what our calls would be like, then ended with a tour of the campus and facilities. I was contacted a few days later and was asked to provide 4 professional references with at least 2 being former managers. This part of the vetting process took a couple of weeks and they did contact everyone and verified all information given, so be honest and accurate with EVERYTHING you answer or fill out. Finally, after about 3 1/2 weeks, I was contacted and offered the position, which I accepted. Very thorough hiring process, but this is the kind of company that is very desirable for anyone to work for. I believe they did a little over 100 face to face interviews for a 20 person class.

There was no negotiation process. I wasn't going to haggle over a few thousand dollars and risk losing a great opportunity like this. These people that are giving negative reviews of the interview or hiring process seem like they're bitter because they didn't get an offer...or chalk it up to "to each their own". It was a little tedious and a long, extensive vetting process, but everyone was very friendly and professional. I didn't expect anything less from a potential opportunity like this one. This is the kind of company you'd want to retire from. I have a few friends that have been there for a long time and they all LOVE the company.

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Capital Group in November 2014.

    Interview Details

Applied through college job website. Went through an initial greenjob (webcam) interview then got invited for a full day interview with free lunch, tour of the facility, and three consecutive one hour interview. (There was also a meet and greet dinner the day before where you get to meet some of the current associates, managers, as well as other prospective interviewee.) The people I've met were all super friendly and seems to really enjoy all that the company had to offer.

Little room for negotiation because the offer was much higher than I anticipated already and the benefit was one of best I've seen.

I applied online. The process took 2+ weeksinterviewed at Capital Group.

I first had a talk with the recruiter and then I went in for an in office interview. I had three separate interviews. A lot of behavioral questions were asked, but were easy to answer. Some of the questions asked seemed repetitive and just worded differently. What I did not like about this interview was that more time was spent asking me all the questions and there was little time for me to ask my own questions or even get a sense of the company. The people I interviewed with were so up tight and very hard to talk to.

    Interview Questions
    • All the questions were the general behavioral questions that you will typically see on any website that has a list of behavioral questions.   Answer Question
    Reasons for Declining

I did get the job, but I declined because I didn't get a good vibe from the people I interviewed with. Also, seems like this job is very demanding on a day to day basis.

The interview process was long and took a few months over several rounds. If one person doesn't like you, you are out (so I have since heard). It began with a phone interview, then a skills test and meeting with HR, then a few 1:1 or group interviews with various people from the team.

It was very tough to negotiate salary or anything, really. They have great benefits, so this is what they use as leverage.

2 phone interviews followed by an in-person consisting of three separate interviews with 2 interviewers each. The entire process was fairly quick. Probably not even a month in total. Pretty flexible on start date but not so much on compensation. Their comp package that they offered was pretty solid though so I didn't have much of a problem when they only came up a little bit on their initial offer.

I applied online. The process took 3+ monthsinterviewed at Capital Group in May 2014.

    Interview Details

The interview and hiring process with Capital Group was the most professional I have ever experienced. I applied online and initially did not hear back for 5 weeks. However, once contacted by a recruiter, the process was relatively quick. I first had a phone interview followed by an on-site 1 on 1 interview two days later. The next week, I had a panel interview on-site. The questions in all interviews were behavioral and situational, so I would recommend having MANY scenarios prepared, as questions were shot off one after another. From there, I waited 2 weeks to receive a formal offer. I have nothing but good things to say about dealing with Capital's recruiter and HR contact. I highly appreciated that they respected my time in constantly keeping me up-to-date during the entire process. Very professional and organized environment from the start!

I applied through a recruiter – interviewed at Capital Group.

    Interview Details

I was contacted by a recruiter from Capital Group who found my resume on Indeed.com. There was an initial phone screen that wasn't much of anything. I then had two phone interviews with HR. General HR questions. The second one was more in depth. Both were about 30 minutes. The following week they flew me out to San Antonio (all expenses paid, flights, hotel, car, pretty good deal) for face to face interviews. I spent about 4 hours in their office. First was a 30 minute tour of the office/Q&A, followed by three interviews that were an hour each. The first was with HR, second two were with managers in my department. Extremely thorough and in-depth process. If you can think of it, they probably asked it.

    Interview Questions
