They were very un organized when I went in for my interview. I dont believe they hire black people because ive never seen any black people working there. They dont hire gay people. They claim to all be religious but they are judge mental and think theyre better. Eat more chicken? No eat less chicken. Eat more tacos.

    I applied in-person – interviewed at Chick-fil-A in November 2014.

    Interview Details

At this Chick-fil-A, they give every applicant a interview when they turn in the application. I interviewed on Monday and got a call for a second interview on the Friday of that same week. I'm set to go in this Monday, so overall, it will be a one-week process.
It was a little nerve-racking when I first came in, because they had all of the interviewees there at once. There were 8+ other applicants, even though Chickfila wasn't currently hiring.

The first interview was a group interview. It was awkward. Everyone was waiting to be interviewed and felt uncomfortable. It was more young people than older because I was the only there 31 years old. I been out of work since 2010, some never had a job others just looking for part time work. Everything went well at first interview. Then I as called a month later for second interview. The bus was running super late, so I caught a cab to interview after I called one of the managers to say I'm late. He says I'm fine because the manager is running late and he has 9am interviews. So I'm like ok cool, I'm on my way. I get there and see the guy that is going to manage me, he says I'm late and looks away. I told him the other manager said it was ok and you wouldn't mind. In his lies it was all a lie. He really didn't want to interview me and I was told to wait. So after 11 o'clock he interview me and ask for my availability but he's not feeling it at all. I'm like I thought you al have flexible hours. Then manager just didn't seem comfortable talking t me like he was stressed out. I felt like I wasted my time coming there. He said he will call me but h never did. So I never got hired and I'm a black woman. There are mostly white people in front and a few blacks working in the back. I'm not racist but I read this company hire mostly whites at all Chick Fil A restaurants. Also they have dozens of lawsuits. They don't hire pregnant women either or gays. They claim they are Christians but they are one big joke to me.

I attended a group interview that Chick-fil-A had been advertising. The atmosphere of the interview was casual and easy-going. There were about 12 other people there, and we were asked to get into groups of 2-3. We then had to do a couple team exercises which were surprisingly fun. Then we were each handed a sort of questionnaire sheet with some basic questions on it. Once I filled that out I shook the managers' hands and thanked them and left.

Very time consuming. Multiple interviews (phone, 2 in-person, and then a 2nd in-person) with multiple people. For example, for my first in person interview, I meet with 3 people. All three asked the same questions...and when they say tell me about yourself...they mean from the time you were conceived by your parents up until the very moment you landed in that chair in front of them. If you dont have a stellar family situation/background, I would avoid the company. My next round of interviews lasted all day!! Literally. I met with about 5 or 6 people. I lost count. It felt like a marathon. I was sooo exhausted from talking, which was odd because I was a teacher. Their level of scrutiny was just that intense. I wasnt told I was going to be there all day (9/10am-5pm) so be prepared for that with the 2nd interview. I didnt make it past this point, but I must say that the work environment reminds me of a hamster on a wheel.

They go through 2 interviews to choose a team member. I was told that all team members are required to work at least 1 Saturday per month. At that location they provide1 uniform for part timers and 2 for full timers. You are required to buy solid black shoes (but the colors chosen vary by location)

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Chick-fil-A.

I filled out the online application and submitted a copy of my resume. Within 48 hours, I received an email asking me to fill out a staff application. Most of the application was just a re-hash of my resume except for the five essay questions. Pretty basic stuff: why do you want to work here, what are you doing to improve yourself professionally, where do you see yourself in five years, etc.

I was emailed a few days later and asked to take part in a phone interview. The interviewer was an HR recruiter. The interviewer was very put off that I didn't know any current employees at the corporate office. I almost felt like I was being accused of lying about the former employees that I listed since they didn't show up in the corporate directory; the application explicitly said "current or former" employees. She ran through my application and resume with me and it became apparent through the process that the job listing on the web site didn't adequately describe the actual job. The job listing only covered a very small portion of the responsibilities.

After the phone interview was over, I was told that there would be at least two (possibly three) in person interviews. Between the first two in person interviews, I would have to submit three personal and three professional references. I was also told to expect a phone call in the next week which never came. All I got was the "we're not interested" email a week+ after the phone interview.

This was back in 2000 when there were paper applications at the stores. I went to one of the stores in Knoxville, TN and picked one up, filled it out there in the store, handed it to the manager who read though it right there and asked if I was available on the spot for an interview. I said I was so we went and sat down in the office in back and he asked me about my availability excluding Saturdays and why. I told him that its the day my family and I attend church.

    Interview Questions
    • "We're a Christian owned and operated store so if you're not willing to work Saturdays because you choose to go to church that day instead of Sunday like everyone else does then we have no place for you here at Chick-fil-A."   View Answer

Very detailed interview conducted via webcam. No real trick questions but very thorough. All done via webex. Be sure your camera works on your computer. Interviewer was very nice, very professional and friendly. They told me that thousands had applied, hundreds got the opportunity to fill out the management application and 10-20 reached the video interview stage. I gues I felt good making it that far.
