I applied to this job via an online job listing, there was a lot of competition for this job. I did a phone interview first and then had 3 subsequent interviews with in cases 3-4 people (so I met with 9 people total over 3 different days. The whole process took about a month.

    Interview Questions
    • Fairly generic questions in my case, know your resume and the position you seek. Knowledge of industry practices is good.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
I'm usually pretty good at negotiation, if I had known that my salary would adjust very little over the years, I would have been a tad more "agressive" in my request. All in all a rather painless process conducted through HR, with input from hiring manager.

Interview process was simple and efficient. Compensation as Recruiter did not provide enough information about the organization. I believe that recruiter should be more forthcoming about painting the truew picture within the org for compensation. He was kind of pushy about settling the offer.

Phone screen, then 5 weeks of interviews with various team members. Comprehensive questions, tour of facility. All team members were friendly, honest and informative. Staff are certainly concerned about ringing the best candidate aboard to work with the children they serve.

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks - interviewed at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in May 2014.

    Interview Details

I applied and the process took about 5 weeks. I got a call for a phone screening (interview from a recruiter) and it lasted for about 20mins. I was scheduled for an in person interview 3 weeks after. It was a panel interview and very professional. It lasted for about an hour. I did some assessment upon arrival before the interview, nothing unexpected. Everyone there was very professional and friendly.

Call from a recruiter / Face-to-face interview / Job offer / Background check (6-weeks) / New employee orientation / In job. CHOP is very thorough in performing the proper background and education checks. If you want a good paying job, it may be worth the wait if you're progressing through the hiring stages.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in February 2014.

    Interview Details

Initial HR Phone screen- simple questions about CHOP (approx 1/2 hr.)
Department Phone Screen- same as above- more focused on clinical research experience though- just know your resume/qualifications.
In Person Interviews- 1 round- with 2 PI's and one clin research mgr. This was more detailed than the calls (1/2 hr with each person) and focused on my experiences and what I could bring to the department/CHOP.

    Interview Questions
    • None. Very straight forward interview process. Know your qualifications, know what the department does, know how you fit into that role, and you will do just fine.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
