    Compliance Specialist Interview

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 1+ weekinterviewed at Chipotle.

    Interview Details

I was asked to do the video interview. There were 5 questions from what I can remember they were:
    What makes a top performer?
How do you handle telling someone something they don't want to hear?
Why do you want to work for Chipotle?
What interests you most about this position?
Tell me about your education / experience (something generic)

Within 2 days I was contacted to come in for an in-person interview.

I was met by 3 people and was asked why I wanted to work for Chipotle, what I knew about Chipotle and what my educational history was. That was it.

I found it odd that a recent college graduate that "had only been there 6 weeks" was part of the interview process. The other person had been there 5 months and the other a few years. Seems like a lot of turn-a-around.

Definitely felt like my time was wasted. I answered more questions in the video interview than they asked me in person. A young culture that seems unaware of the corporate hierarchy around them...I don't think anyone with experience would enjoy the inevitable hiccups. An offer wasn't offered. I was thankful.

    Interview Questions
    • Nothing was unexpected. They want you to say you are a hard worker and that anyone has the ability to be a top performer. Pretty typical.   Answer Question

    Crew Member Interview

Applied online and was notified via email to interview about a week later. Group interview consisting of 1 manager, 3 crew members, and 6 interviewees. Interview lasted about 48 minutes.

Interview questions were pretty easy but the whole interview seemed like a complete joke. One crew member was on her phone a couple times during the interview (probably texting). Even worse, the manager picked up a phone call to his cell during the interview and completely disregarded what the applicant was saying. After he hung up he didn't apologize to the applicant and simply said "ok, next person." I know working here requires a fun and enthusiastic personality, but I didn't expect the interview to be such a joke and the manager to be so rude. I've experienced my fair share of interviews and I've never had one like this. Definitely makes me think of the company differently, especially since two of their 13 characteristics are respectful and polite.

Manager notified all interviewees that decisions for the 2nd round would be made by next Monday.

I applied online – interviewed at Chipotle.

I was interviewed with about 4 other people. Overall everything went well, the GM and the apprentice made us feel welcomed and it didn't feel like a waste of time. One thing you should really be able to answer is "what do you know about chipotle?" We were asked that question and literally no one said anything, so I stepped in and told them the history of chipotle which really impressed the GM. We didn't get an offer because we applied for a new store which isn't opening till April.

I applied through a recruiter – interviewed at Chipotle.

    Interview Details

My first interview was a video interview that was viewed by HR at corporate. I was then given a phone interview by a HR person. The phone interview was very standard and would have led to an in person interview with a regional manager. I was not given the third interview, they said I was too numbers oriented and they preferred to focus on staff team development.

It was a cattle call interview. I think they gave anyone who applied an opportunity to interview. I interviewed with the manager and she was nice, but they wanted a more long term employee than the time I had a to offer. I had less than year before I was leaving town for college.

I applied online – interviewed at Chipotle.

    Interview Details

I had three different interviews with Chipotle at different locations and each had a different hiring process. The first was very standard; I met one-on-one with an assistant who asked general interview questions. The second and third, however, I was not happy about. The next two "interviews" were group interviews, where we were sat with a couple team members and were asked personal questions - very informal, and it was almost impossible to prove what skills I could offer as an employee.

picked up application, returned it, was called with an interview date. It was very easy and I got the job on the spot. The manager was pretty laid back and it was a relaxed interview. It was my first real job interview so I was nervous going in, but it was a very simple

I applied online – interviewed at Chipotle.

    Interview Details

It took about 3 weeks after I applied online to get a call for an interview. The first interview is with the general manager and maybe an assistant manager. They ask you the standard questions, why you want to work there and what makes you stand out above the rest. The main thing to remember about an interview at Chipotle is you NEED to know the facts and history about the company. This is the key to getting in. The more you know and the more you apply to the "13 characteristics" you are good to go. If you pass the first interview, the second interview will consists of meeting the crew member. The deciding factor will be if the crew likes you and thinks you will be a valuable team member.
