Overall pretty easy interview. I actually went to two interviews and both asked the same questions, like why chipotle? How would your friends describe you in three words? One of the interviews was a one on one because I called in that I could not make it to the date they had originally scheduled me for, and the manager was nice.

They usually ask you to tell them about yourself and why you want to work for the company. My first Chipotle interview they asked basic questions, afterwards, they emailed us. Second was at the fashion show where the manager talked to us a lot about the company and the few questions we were asked caught me a bit off guard. They picked one person out of the group right there to go on to a second interview. If you get an email requesting an interview, be prepared for a group interview. Answer every question they ask because groups are sometimes big and interviews are short and it's possible you won't get a word in.

WORST interview experience I've had. The manager was basically a teenager, and spent a good amount of the interview period joking with a coworker rather than getting to know the interviewees. It was a group interview; 4 people plus myself. The manager asked us what our "story" was, i.e job history/current situation (a very vague question). He then asked us what we knew about the company, calming everyone's nerves with saying he himself knew nothing about Chipotle prior to his employment. I knew what I needed to know,(basically know who Steve Ells is and what food with integrity means) in fact I was the only person in my group who knew anything about Chipotle. After that, he gave us a brief lecture on Chipotle's values and whatnot, and then basically said the interview was over. What??? Two short, vague questions and that's it? He told us we'd be contacted within 48 hours if we had qualified for a 2nd out of 3 interviews, one of which would be meeting the staff (and i they didn't "approve," he said, no matter what the managers thought you'd be gone) and sent us home. If the interview had been a normal one on one interview, I doubt it would have even lasted 10 minutes. A complete waste of time. And 3 interviews to see if you qualify to make burritos all day?? Honestly

Application process was quick! Within a few days I received an email stating they would like to meet with me. I applied to three different locations, and each was a group interview. Don't know what it is they're looking for, but I guess hard working and energetic isn't what they want.

    Interview Details

I applied online and the process took about 1 week, and was emailed to come in for an interview the following Tuesday. Turned out to be a group interview with 4 others. The hiring manager seemed nice and asked us about ourselves and told us about Chipotle's history. They were looking for full time workers, but 3 out of the 4 including me were not looking for full time so he had to let us go, but gave us a free meal for our time.

I applied online - interviewed at Chipotle in July 2014.

    Interview Details

I applied to Chipotle online and got an email a few days later saying I had an interview with them that Saturday. After extreme research on the company and reviewing all possible interview questions I felt very prepared. I went in and saw it was a group interview which I was not at all surprised considering I read other interview reviews on here. When I walked in they ere finishing up on another group interview so we sat their patiently. Then we went outside and talked. He asked everybody to write down our names and numbers on a sheet then asked everyone to answer what they knew about chipotle, what they like to do for fun, and what they were passionate about. After we all answered he just explained a lot about chipotle and asked an open question to the whole group of what we thought was the most important to the company: Food, Business, or People. I was the first to answer this question. He then talked more about the company and at the end asked if anyone had any questions. I asked how many open positions there were and no body else asked any questions. about 3 hours later I got an email telling me I didn't get the job.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Chipotle.

    Interview Details

Submitted an application online. A week or so later I was called in for an interview. It went well, I arrived early and once the manager was available she and an employee took me to a table in the back and asked me the basic questions. At the end, the manager gave me her card and told me she'd be in contact to schedule another interview. I came in for the second interview, sat down with two employees, was asked many of the same questions and some different ones. Once they were done, they told me that they would contact me with the results.
