I applied online and the process took 3 days - interviewed at Chipotle in October 2013.

Interview Details – You fill out an application online and wait for their call. You'll meet with a manager and they'll ask you typical questions about yourself. There are 13 characteristics you have to meet for them to proceed with the hiring process, which are simple (i.e. honest, infectiously enthusiastic, excited). If they like you, they will schedule a crew lunch, which happens anytime in the next week at 10 am. You'll sit and talk with everyone and if they all agree that you'd be a good part of the team, you're in the clear. Wait for another call to fill out paperwork and you're hired.

Interview Question – They will ask if you know anything about the company or their business model. You also have to be 18+ to work here.   Answer Question

I applied through college or university and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Chipotle.

Interview Details – It was a new store opening, I found out through a job seeking website, they gave me a phone interview then I got chosen to go the job fair. it started out as 7 of us at one table talking to the gm and service manager. it was great conversation, we talked for hours about anything and everything. then it went down to the solos where I got interviewed by the gm, the same service manager and a random manager. then I had to go through a whole another interview with a different service manager which lasted 30 seconds cause she wondered why I went through so many interviews so I got hired.

Interview Question – "what type of manager do you like?"   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – if you have a life i.e school, kids etc don't work here, chipotle is your life. expect extra long hours for only a 15 min break.

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Chipotle.

Interview Details – The first interview was a group interview. Try to go in being very friendly to everyone since they want to see if you can work in a team. Definitely research chipotle before you go. The second interview was really just talk in to the manager so she could get a feel of your personality. Be yourself!

Interview Question – What do you know about chipotle? Why should we hire you?   Answer Question

I applied in-person and the process took a day - interviewed at Chipotle.

Interview Details – They had set up a career fair day at a local hotel to interview people all day long. I went in and was interviewed by two regional managers. The first one asked some pretty standard questions about what I'm studying in school, how I am as a person, why work for Chipotle, what I can bring to the table. Then the second manager came in and asked a few more questions, and he basically gave me the job right then and there.

Interview Question – As I was studying mechanical engineering, they were wondering if I would be a good fit if I wasn't going to stay past graduation. I asked if there were any mechanical specific work available and they said possibly. They also talked to me about how Chipotle strives to promote their crew members higher and higher, which would entail pretty good pay increases.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – I asked for $8.00 an hour, and they suggested $8.50

Service Manager Interview

Service Manager
Eden Prairie, MN

I applied online and the process took 3 days - interviewed at Chipotle in December 2012.

Interview Details – The interview process is different than any place your going to interview for. They don't like it when you brag about yourself and your accomplishment just be yourself. So go into the interview as if you were talking with your best friend they love people who are outgoing and being themselves.

Interview Question – Tell me about yourself? They don't want to know about why you would be a good person for the job. They want to know about you.   Answer Question

I applied online and the process took 5 days - interviewed at Chipotle in May 2014.

Interview Details – I applied on friday got a call on tuesday to come in for an interview the next day! The interview was very easy, she asked about why I want to work there?, hobbies, house work, schooling etc. FYI sometimes crew members interview as well, because she wanted to make sure everyone liked you.

Interview Question – What can you bring to team?   View Answer

Negotiation Details – She just came out after and said welcome to the team and I started immediately one day after. I hated the job though, as a crew member you have to cut, cook, do dining, front line everything in one day. The job was very demanding

Interviewed at Chipotle

Interview Details – There were 2 interviews with the assistant managers. After those two interviews the store manager interviews you and make a final decision. It was fairly simple. You should come in knowing some info about the company since it is different from other fast casual chains.

Human Resources Interview

Human Resources
Denver, CO

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 2+ weeks - interviewed at Chipotle.

Interview Details – I had one phone interview with the recruiter. He was super nice, asked questions more to get a sense of the kind of personality I had than to see what I know/can do. Then I had one in person interview with a different recruiter, my entire department and the director. They asked questions about my previous employment, what I like to do in my spare time and how fast I can learn. Lastly, the asked why Chipotle? They wanted to know what about food with integrity appealed to me.

Interview Question – They were very blunt about "How much do you want to make?". This was my first 'real' job out of college, so I wasn't prepared to answer that question without seeming greedy.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – There wasn't any negotiation since it was entry-level.
