I applied online – interviewed at Cisco Systems.

    Interview Details

Interviewed with couple of teams on different jobs.
    1. On one team people looked good and I liked it. But the viability of the group seemed shaky. Spent time and energy at the interview process including giving a presentation over a conference call. The Hiring manger commented that I did a great job and would respond back soon because of some travel plans. I did not hear anything back when I contacted the recruiting team. Found that the hiring manager had moved to another company in a couple of months.

    2. Had a phone interview with another team. The interviewer seemed not to care much about the product or technology and did not seem to know much anyway. But started with the question, "how do you know the hiring manager?". I said I do not know the HM personally (there goes my chance!). Then followed "oh, I have been working for him for x years at companies A and B". Despite my good answers, I realized what it takes to work here is not good talent.

It's a very slow process. First you apply then wait a month for someone to get back despite your contact attempts every other day.

In my case I was interviewed and told I did exceptionally well and that I would be meeting with a manager shortly. The next communication I received was the "we regret to inform you" letter. I called the hiring manager to inquire why and that's when I found out that I was lied to. I was interviewed for a position that wasn't available even though I was informed several times during the interview process that it was.

I met CISCO employers when they came to our university Career Fair. After 1 week I had an interview in our university as well. The interview was behavioral and the interviewer asked questions about team work, projects, weaknesses etc. I thought I answered question well, but somehow got different response from the employers.

Submitted my resume and was called back for an interview. Was only a sophomore and he asked questions that were beyond my coding experience. These included stuff about speeding up a program and how to refer to its stackframe. Could have killed it if i came more prepared.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at Cisco Systems.

Applied through on-campus recruiter. Scheduled an interview a week later only to have it postponed a month. Interview was mostly technical. What part did talk about interest in the company and position didn't seem to interest interviewer. For technical thought process questions, when I didn't get an answer or I got it wrong the interviewer had no interest in talking about it and just wanted an answer.

Interview was filled with behavioral questions. It was a very laid back, quick interview (30 min). Many scenario questions were asked, so prepare for that as well as questions like "why are you studying your major" or "what would you say is most difficult about working with groups?"

Questions are asked off resume as well. I was asked what BFS is and how to implement it but that question came up after discussing one of my projects.

Started at recruiting even on campus. After learning of the internship I applied online. Around a month passed before I received an email in regards to the internship. I was then contacted by somebody in HR to set up an interview through webex. The first round interview lasted thirty minutes, and was with an NCE. A lot of the questions were personality based, and asking what my goals were. A few technical questions were thrown in at the end. Overall a good experience, Cisco seems like a great company to work for. I am scheduled for the next round of interviews, I will try to update.

I applied online – interviewed at Cisco Systems in November 2014.

directly on-site with three engineers for the position. It was local so I guess the hiring manager does not bother doing a phone interview.

It has been one month after the on-site and since I did not get a reply from my follow-up email, I guess I was passed.

They are quite specific about past experience but not academic questions. So be prepared about what you did before.
