Technical Analyst - PreSales Engineer Or Post Sales Consulting Interview

Technical Analyst - PreSales Engineer Or Post Sales Consulting

I applied through college or university and interviewed at Citrix Systems.

Interview Details – Met representatives at a College Job Fair and was asked to participate in an on-campus interview the following day
Split an hour between 2 different consulting managers mid-career
Great interview - mostly behavioral questions

About 4 weeks later heard back about a second interview with a Senior Consulting Manager via GoToMeeting
This interview was only a half hour and also focused on behavioral, but also got questions about my SAT and ACT scores, the hardest class I had taken in college, and to send through a writing sample

They said I'd hear back about the final decision soon, and it's been almost 2.5 weeks and still haven't heard yet.

Interview Question – When working on a team, how did you handle a situation when someone in the group wasn't pulling their weight?   Answer Question

Manager, Sales Engineering Interview

Manager, Sales Engineering
Chicago, IL

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Citrix Systems in October 2008.

Interview Details – The interview process was average. I had a couple phone interviews with peers, a 1:1 with my manager, and a group interview with my manager a field sales counterpart. A few days later an offer was made.

I like the approach and people I interviewed with. I still stay in touch with all of them four years later.

Interview Question – The most difficult questions were about the sales process, which was something I had never been exposed to before. The questions were not meant to stump me, rather, get an understanding of what I knew about sales coming from a datacenter position.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Very simple and exceeded my expectations.

Difficult Interview

Senior Sales Engineer Interview

Senior Sales Engineer
Santa Clara, CA

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Citrix Systems in August 2012.

Interview Details – The application process was pretty straight forward. I was told about the position as a former Citrix employee. I reached out to the hiring manager and he suggested for me to apply. I applied online. Now the online application seems very out of date but allows you to have a profile to apply to multiple positions. Once the application is submitted, it did take some time to get the process going.

I had a couple of phone interviews. The first one was very laid back. The second one was technical from someone on the team. The questions were not hard but I do not expect the questions and I expected more questions on my background. Then I was asked to fly out to HQ in CA to meet with five 1:1 interviews. All of the interviews were fairly laid back and questions were decent. No one expected me to have the hands on experience on the new technology. I was asked questions around technology for the most part and questions on my current position.

I applied online and the process took 2 days - interviewed at Citrix Systems in November 2010.

Interview Details – It was very average , low level skills test and the company failed to follow up
They have a mess with their internal HR system . I've been interviewed for 4 different positions at the same time and they've asked the same pre-screening questions over and over .The phone (technical ) interview is very easy if you know their products but the entire process is very long and bad managed .

Interview Question – How many actual implementations you've done with ... Hyper-V and or AppV products   View Answer
