Quality Improvement Specialist Interview

Quality Improvement Specialist

I applied online and the process took 4 months - interviewed at Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment in December 2009.

Interview Details – I applied for the job in 6/09, the job was down-graded to part time in 8/09, was re-named in 10/09. When I was finally invited to interview in November, I was asked to do a 30 minute .ppt on "How to Run a Patietn Safety Collaborative". The screening interview group of 3 was very friendly and respectful. They seemed to understand what I said, and had good questions as I included concepts from my Black Belt training that seemed unfamiliar to them. When I was called in for a face-to-face with the daily work team with weeks later, the interview was with 4 people huddled in an office. I could not look them all in the eye, but they gave me a sincere and interested audience. I was suprised when I was not chosen for the job.

Interview Question – Some people are resistant to new quality improvement efforts because of the perception of failure in the past. How do you get them interested in trying again?   View Answers (2)
