    Application

I applied through college or university – interviewed at Cox Communications (Atlanta, GA).

    Interview

HR was very nice. But did not interviewed with HR, rather, directly to the manager and one person who works in the team. No easy behavior questions, and you need to quickly come up with solutions about data analysis. Did not talk about anything from resume.

    Interview Questions

    • They said was STAR question in the email, but actually basically no behavior questions.
Asked how to deal with data in certain situtations.

I applied online – interviewed at Cox Communications (Atlanta, GA) in October 2012.

    Interview

Step 1: A HR Rep called for a brief phone interview. Typical HR questions: brief wrok history, validation of resume information, 5 year goal, "tell me about yourself", etc. Good idea to ask the HR Rep the essential qualities that the Hiring Manager is looking for.
Step 2: Phone interview with the hiring manager. Friendly interview. Validating the resume information. Good idea to use information from the HR and sell oneself to the Hiring Manager.
Step 3: Face to face interview with the Hiring Manager. Need to cover all problems in your work history, need to sell oneself according to what the hiring manager is looking for.
Step 4: Face to face interview with theHiring Manager's boss and counterpart. Writen PM test.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at Cox Communications (Atlanta, GA) in March 2011.

    Interview

informal. Hiring manager confused about company goals, unable to translate them to goals for the position. My questions might have been too hard for her to answer. They seemed to want someone less creative and more corporate.

    Interview Questions

    • The questions were pretty predictable. What have I done and what would I like to do?   1 Answer

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Cox Communications (Atlanta, GA) in July 2010.

    Interview

Easy going phone conversation about current work experience. They wanted specific examples detailing mgt style. I'm sorry I hadn't met the qualifications they were looking for.... because they seem to have a very good reputation as being a good place to work amongst their employees.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Cox Communications (Atlanta, GA) in March 2010.

    Interview

It was very smooth. They were in a hurry. The recruiter contacted me and built me as the shoe-in. The people asked relatively good questions except for the manager. He asked vague questions that left you wanting him to clarify. An example would be, "How were your interactions with the Ops team?". He didn't want to know what interactions you had but how they were. This is a little confusing.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 daysinterviewed at Cox Communications (Alpharetta, GA) in March 2010.

    Interview

Can be a difficult interviewing environment. My experience with Cox has been mixed. They hired me twice for contract opportunities, but their interview style doesn't really serve them very well. Interviewers arrived with no understanding or agreement about the role they were interviewing for, and it was a group interview. So the questions were a wide variety, not very applicable to the role I was informed to expect. Interviewers at Cox are usually reluctant to share much info at the start of the interview, to put it in perspective. They just sort of jump in with their questions.

    Interview Questions

    • What I described above was the most difficult: fielding a variety of questions only loosely related to the job I was interviewing for, if at all. For example, on this interview for an integration architect, I got questions about ETL development, software release management, and database specifics.   Answer Question
