Technical Support Representative (Call Center - Customer Care) Interview

Technical Support Representative (Call Center - Customer Care)
Las Vegas, NV

I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Cox Communications in January 2013.

Interview Details – I was interviewed by a recruiter named Wendy in las vegas, was asked how did I handle irate customers, if I can sell upgrades to their current service while providing them with support. They also asked me if I have worked at a call center. During the interview, selling upgrades and keeping the calls short, coming to work on time, and working overtime. After all said and done, I found out that I wasn't selected for the next recruiting process.
Before the interview, I call her and got her voice mail. After they went through a different phase in the recruiting process, I called her to follow up and all I got was a Microsoft Exchange voice mail.

Interview Question – Just the part of selling and the handling of irate customers.   View Answer
