I applied through an employee referral – interviewed at Coyote Logistics.

    Interview Details

Applied online and got a refferall from a current employee. Got an email a few days later to set up a phone interview. Then had two phone interviews that lasted 30 minutes each. After those two interviews, I was asked to come to Chicago for an interview which lasted around two hours.

Very laid back and personal. The recruiter gets to know you and interacts on a first name basis. Toured the facility, really nice place with lots of energy. Definitely a work hard play hard kind of atmosphere.

Met one on one with a girl in HR. Pretty standard interview questions. Very conversational, they just want to get an idea of your personality. Didn't get a job offer, just got an email saying "While your skills and experience are certainly impressive, we have decided to not move forward with you in the interview process". So I'm not entirely sure why I didn't get the job.

The hiring process took about two months, but that is partly because I went on vacation. It started with a phone interview because I was not in the Chicago area. From there I was asked to return for a in person interview. It was a really cool experience. I met with one recruiter who talked to me about my resume, very informal and easy going. Then I was given a tour and got to talk with two employee's, one on the carrier side and one on the customer side. After that I met with the last recruiter about my experience and she asked me about what I liked and if I could differentiate between the two sides. Make sure to be yourself and have fun! I think the recruiters are great at seeing if you are a right fit for the company.

    Interview Questions
    • Just make sure you pay attention to what the two employees are doing and try to get a good understanding of the different positions and why they are different. It is a really lively atmosphere so have fun but try not to get caught up in it, pay attention.   Answer Question

The hiring process was done through a recruiter who was very friendly to me. Coyote goes on a first name basis. Just be personable and be yourself. The interview process consisted of a brief 30 min interview and then an-office interview.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at Coyote Logistics in October 2014.

    Interview Details

The interview process started with my college's career fair. After speaking with a recruiter at the career fair, an on-campus interview was scheduled within the next two days. I found out I was pushed forward in the process to an on-site second interview in their office at the Chicago location. Both interviews were very laid back and consisted mostly of questions about my personality, goals, experience, etc. I found it to be a very good process as a whole and they kept me in the loop at all times. The on-site interview was extremely helpful and educates you to a much deeper level about Coyote as a whole.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Coyote Logistics in October 2014.

I applied through their website and had a referral. Online application was standard and easy to follow. In 2-3 weeks I recieved an email to set up an interview time at their office in Chicago. When I arrived I was escorted to a conference room where a few other applicants waited. We each were pulled by different employees for our interview. My interviewer was pleasant, but made sure I went in to detail with every question answered - somewhat nerve wracking. They really are looking for precise personalities for Coyote so be prepared. Just be yourself and hope for the best.

A relaxed environment doesn't have to equate to an unprofessional interview. Recruiter seemed distracted by other employees in the hallway, and essentially had me reread my resume to her. Didn't hear back from recruiter for over a month despite multiple follow-up emails. Seems like a solid company but perhaps should consider a change in their interview process/practices.

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Coyote Logistics in September 2014.

    Interview Details

The interviewing process consisted of two rounds. I met with the representatives on campus. The first round was the day after the career fair and was a one on one interview. I found out by the next week that I selected to move on in the interviewing process. The second interview was in their Chicago office. The interview in the Chicago office lased about 3 hours and consisted of two interviews with two different HR representatives and shadowing of someone in the Carriers department as well as someone in the Customers department.
