    Interview

Very friendly culture, people are approachable and willing to share experiences. The company organises many student-related events where you can find out more about the company and whether you are the right fit likewise. After completing the online application and testing, the first round is a group interview (not to difficult, consists of creating a presentation while being observed by a panel of HR and divisional personnel). Second round is two interviews with managers from the division you applied for.

    Intern Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Zürich (Switzerland)

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Credit Suisse (Zürich (Switzerland)) in October 2012.

    Interview

I got in touch with the company through a campus event, so it was divided in two phases. The first interview was at the campus event. Given the little time slot for the event (1h), it was mainly to get to know each other. A future team member explained about the banking functions and what they were doing, while I was asked my goals my background, what I was looking for, and why Credit Suisse. The second interview was on site with an HR person first and an AVP from my team later. Both parts lasted around an hour. Questions revolved around personality and behaviour: what project was the most challenging and why? How have you dealt with disagreements in the past? How did you manage to convince your teammates about your ideas? Occasional brain teasers ("How many liters of water are there in the xxx lake?") were also asked. The interviews were friendly and HR always gave feedback within a couple of days.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Credit Suisse (Singapore (Singapore)) in January 2012.

    Interview

Three stages of interview: 1. Phone Interview Basic HR interview with all the basic questions covering the projects and extracurricular activities you have done in school. Phone interview is tricky when the sound quality is bad, so it is important to have it in a quiet place. 2. Group Assessment Given a mini-task to complete in less than an hour. There will always be the one over-enthusiastic candidate who doesn't give others the opportunities to speak out, but stay sane , be a good team player and focus on task completion. 3. One-to-one Interview Was told that there would be two interviewers, but only one turned up in the end. It's almost like a repeat of phone interview, except the interviewer seems to want to discover more about our interests (probably because they are going to decided based on that which team to assign us to) Overall, the interviewers were very friendly, the entire recruitment process was done professionally and outcomes were communicated in timely manner.

    Interview Questions

    • I was joking about a recent incident of public transport breakdown and how an app I developed would help alleviate that. The interviewer picked up from the joke and asked what I would have done if I were the owner of the public transport.   Answer Question

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Credit Suisse (São Paulo, São Paulo (Brazil)) in May 2011.

    Interview

I was contacted by phone for a scheduled interview in the office. It was a short one (about 1 hour) with 3 people from the possible areas. They were asking things about my personality and background, explaining the jobs and asking if I was ok if them. After that, a couple of days after I was called to talk with the manager. He explained the benefits and responsibilities, as well as how was the daily work and environment. After this brief talking he made an offer.
