Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Zürich (Switzerland) May 2011 – Reviewed May 4, 2011
Interview Details –
First round was a telephone interview where I was asked the usual 'soft' questions and a couple of technical option pricing questions. Interview was very short (10-15mins), but the guy was very nice.
Then received an invitation for an online assessment, together with a series of personal interviews in Zurich.
The online assessment consisted of a 'verbal test' (going through fictional financial reports to pick out relevant information), a 'numerical test' (the same but with numbers) and a 'shapes and relationships test' (like a non-verbal intelligence test). This is nothing too strenuous, but working quickly is very important.
The second and final round consisted of a series of four interviews. In the first (not really an interview) the recruiter explained the process to me and what would happen if my application were to be successful. In the second interview (with a trader) I was asked some technical questions. In the third round I was interviewed by two guys who would be in my team. This was a mixture of questions about my CV, technical questions and brainteasers. The fourth interview, as far as I can ascertain was (a) to establish my (honest, not contrived) motivations (b) to make sure I was normal, and would fit in.
I then had to wait 48 hours to hear back from the recruiter that my applcation had been successful.

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Singapore (Singapore) Jan 2011 – Reviewed Jan 27, 2011
Interview Details – The interviewers deliver a positive image of the company. There are 3 sessions of the interview just to better simulate an interview for a FT job position. First 1:1 interview is only a roughly screening. 2nd one is a group interview and can be a little bit stressful working while being observed. The 3 rounds of interviews really get to know a person from every aspects.
