Had applied from the career management services on campus, and got a call for 1st round of interview on campus. within 3 days, got a call for the Super Day at credit suisse campus, and super day consisted of a pre interview lunch with other interns and interviewers. had 3 rounds of one on one interview and all of the question were on behavioral fit. No technical question, all there interviewers asked me to walk through the resume and all same behavioral question.
the interview was pretty good and neat, more like a conversation. May be i was too much focusing on Java as my preference could be a reason for rejection. Else was smooth and easy flowing interview.

The first phone interview was basic interview questions pertaining to how I would solve different situations and some characteristics about myself. Then there was group interview day where we had three 1:1 interviews. We also did a very entertaining group project at the end that allowed us to show our teamwork skills and and creativity. Overall great experience and excited to work here this Summer.

    IT Summer Analyst Interview

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks - interviewed at Credit Suisse in February 2011.

    Interview Details

The process began with submitting my resume through my school. Once they picked me I scheduled a 1:1 interview on campus. The night before I was invited to a dinner to meet the previous summer analysts. The previous analysts are very friendly. They love the company culture.

The next day, I went to my 1:1 interview. My interviewer was very friendly, and basically went through my resume with me. After the interview was over he basically told me that I would be going to the next round, but not directly.

It took about 2 weeks to hear back from the HR rep about the interview. I received a call saying they would like to have me back for the next round of interviews.

That took place in the next week or two. For this interview I went to the office and was met with about 20 other students. We had lunch and talked with each other and the HR rep. They also brought in previous interns to talk to. They were all very friendly.

After that, they sent us into 3 individual interviews with people from the company. They were mainly behavioral interviews. It did get technical at some points. I found all 3 of my interviewers to be very cold. This was very offsetting because so far everyone I met was so friendly. These interviewers were very arrogant and did not smile once.

Once this was complete they made us do a group activity. They all crowded around us like monkeys while we did it. The task was not too scary. It was just to work together on a project. After we completed it the interviewers began to bash on each of us like it was an episode of the Apprentice. This is where there arrogance really shined. I knew at this point that these people where not the kind of people I would want to work for.

It took another 2 weeks to hear back from them saying that they would not be taking me at this time. I was actually shocked because I applied to 4 other bank type companies and received offers from all 3.

In my experience with the other 3, Credit Suisse was the worst. Until the interview took place they wasted my time, and deceived me into thinking that they had a positive work environment. I have formed the impression that that is untrue. I think that they have cold, arrogant management that does not like to be challenged and likes to bully their employees.

I could be wrong, that is just the vibe I got from being there.
