Staff Nurse (RN), Renal Dialysis Interview

Staff Nurse (RN), Renal Dialysis

I applied online and interviewed at DaVita.

Interview Details – Filled an app online and got a call 2 weeks later. Phone interview was pretty easy going. The recruiter was very friendly and set up a panel interview the following week. The panel interview was a little intimidating since it was 4:1. But it wasn't bad at all. The questions were what you would expect at any interview. Still waiting for an official answer.

Interview Question – Why do you want to work in dialysis? How would you handle a conflict at work?   Answer Question

I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at DaVita in November 2013.

Interview Details – I did a phone interview over the phone. I was supposed to receive a phone call at 10:30 and received it at 11:00. She was running behind because it was the weekend after a holiday. She was very friendly and apologetic. We spoke on the phone about a half hour. She asked what kind of position I was looking for and came to figure out the hours did not work for me. She said she liked that I had dialysis experience and would submit my application to the manager in case something opened up that I was looking for.

Interview Question – She asked why I wanted to work for the company and she asked me about what type of experience I've had.   Answer Question

I applied in-person and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at DaVita in June 2013.

Interview Details – Initial interview with recruiter dealt mainly with qualifications, hours of the job, and the company. Next interview was with the local team including the facility administrator, clinical coordinator and a tech. The questions were behavior based: what did I do in a certain situation in a previous position etc.

Interview Question – Tell us about a mistake you made and how you handled it.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Starting date was delayed several times due to "class" schedule. The entire process took way too long.

Interviewed at DaVita

Interview Details – I had a telephone interview with the recruiter, she asked me questions about my resume and was very nice. one week later I got a email asking me to give her 2 different days/times that I would be available for an in person interview. The in person interview went great, the fa was very nice, I shadowed on the floor for about 45 mins to see what happens on the floor. I have received another email a few days later saying they would like me to come in for a 3rd interview. I haven't been to that one yet.

Interview Question – The fa did ask me about the core values of the company, I heard that they always ask about that.   Answer Question

I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at DaVita in July 2011.

Interview Details – I had always wanted to work for Davita. I've applied there three times in the past four years. Once, I got an in person interview, but didn't get the job. I have no dialysis experience. Last week, I applied for a Staff RN position and did a phone interview-only to be told at the conclusion of the interview that the position I applied for was no longer available! The recruiter then told me that there was a similar position at another center not far from the one which I had applied and asked if I'd like to be considered for that one. I agreed to apply for that position, only to check out the website moments later to learn that the other position to which she was referring was a Charge position. Again, I have no dialysis experience, so I emailed the recruiter asking if there was a staff RN position at that location not posted yet. I received no response until today, stating that I was not chosen for the CHARGE POSITION to which I had applied. What a joke!

Interview Question – How have you handled a difficult situation in the past?   Answer Question

Interview Details – I spoke with a FA on the phone and she set up a face to face interview. That consisted of her explaining the job responsibilites, hours and salary range. Now I am going back to interview with the Charge Nurse, FA and Regional Director. I will post that interview after it happens next week.

Interview Question – Will you be OK with part-time work?   View Answer
