I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeksinterviewed at Deloitte.

    Interview

Applied through referral and was called for a pre-screen phone call within a week (are you a citizen, are you ok with travel, etc). Then I was scheduled for an in person 2 weeks later. Interviewed with three people one-on-one: principial, senior consultant and manager. Received response 3 weeks later.

    Interview Questions

    • They proposed a hypothetical problem and asked me to resolve it. Each person asked their own questions and they seemed to be making it up as they went along. There wasn't really structure, nor a single question that was asked by all three. From that I got the impression they weren't looking for something specific, mostly personality.   Answer Question

"In a mortgage, what criteria would you look for to value it?"

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Deloitte.

    Interview

I applied through campus recruiting. The process was very straight forward, Deloitte is very transparent as the evaluate candidates. After applying through my school's career service I was contacted for a first round of interviews - this included two separate pieces. The first piece was a behavioral interview followed by a case. Deloitte evaluates you on every part of your interview, this includes the greeters.
After I finished the case I was told I would know by 5 PM that day if they wanted me to come back. They called a few hours after I left and asked me to come in the following day.
The second day was very close to the first in initial structure; greeter, behavior and case. The difference was the amount of time with each person/people, in the second day the case is much more in depth. There is a tool on the Deloitte website that will help you prepare for these cases and I highly recommend using it. Deloitte's cases are not as hard as what most business schools will put you through but they are also given in a unique structure which adds to the difficulty. Be prepared when you go in and make sure you are confidant in your answers, in the qualitative section they are looking not just how you solve the case but also how you process the case. With the quantitative section they want to see how you gather the data just as much as they want to see you answer the question - that said, don't get the wrong answer: prepare for these interviews there are no hidden aspects and because of that Deloitte expects that you've done your homework and can do some basic math with people looking at you.
After the interviews I was told I would hear back in two weeks. I had gathered all the contact information from the interviewing/greeting members of Deloitte and wrote each short thank you note.
I revived my final offer exactly two weeks later.
The overall interview is set up to have a behavior (little or no stress) and a case (mild to moderate stress) to truly gauge if you are the right fit for Deloitte, be yourself and prepare.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at Deloitte (Miami, FL) in March 2015.

    Interview

Submitted resume through my school career center. Met the recruiters at the Career Fair. A week later, I received an email inviting me for the on-campus interview. The night before the interview, we had a social with Deloitte employees. All candidates for the interview the next day were there. It was pretty relaxed, we played bowling and had pizza. I talked to a guy in Advisory (I applied to Advisory). At the social, I also knew the name of my interviewer the next day.
On-campus interview. Before going into the interview, I met some greeters from Deloitte. They would try to make you feel more comfortable and less nervous. My interviewer was a Partner. She was the head of Deloitte Advisory in the whole Florida. She was extremely friendly and approachable. She gave me sincere answers when I asked about her personal career as well as about Deloitte. I felt at ease. She asked me one or two Behavior questions and went through something on my resume. But I felt it seemed more like an enriching conversation rather than an interview. She knew more of me and I knew more of her and Deloitte. I have to say, this Partner substantially contributed to the very positive impression I had of Deloitte.
After a week, I received an email inviting me to the office interview which would be two weeks later. Before the office interview, there was a dinner. But this time, much fewer people and much fancier restaurant than the social before the first interview. There were 5 people, 3 Deloitte first year hires and 2 candidates (including me). It was the first time that I had a $50 steak. We just had casual conversation and they even gave us some tips for the interview the next day.
The next day, I met with my buddy. They will assign to you one first year employee (called buddy) to accompany you through the day. They would answer any questions if you helped. They are friendly and willing to help as they are usually only 2,3 years older than you. There was a presentation and office tour. I had 3 interviews. One managers. Two Senior managers. You will notice each one had their own styles but overall they all were very nice (I really meant that, they are extremely nice). My first interview was the most typical interview, lots of behavior questions. The second one, lots of chit-chat before we actually began the interview. I asked her so many questions right after I walked in the room. I actually had to stop myself from asking her questions so she could begin asking me. I did not try to create an impression. I was genuinely interested in her story (She moved from another big 4 to Deloitte). Last interview, very laid back. She was very relaxed and asked me something on my resume. Half of the interview was I asking her questions. Finishing all the interviews, I was confused. I wondered if all the interviewers were so nice and there were no tricky questions, how they would identify the better candidates.
6 days later, I received a phone call from my third interviewer (the senior manager) telling me that I was selected for the Deloitte National Leadership Conference (They would decide who goes to the national one who goes to the local one). Needless to say, I was really happy and grateful for the opportunity.
My tips: 1. Make it a conversation. You don't have to wait till the end of the interview for your turn to ask questions. If they say something that interests you, ask right away. 2. Prepare well. Have at least 5 POWER stories to tell. It might sound like a breeze to me, but in fact I put a lot of time and effort into preparing for the interviews.
    Good luck to everyone!

    Interview

1st round: 30 minute phone interview with a senior manager

2nd round: 2 hour interview process (see below)

30 minute introduction (presentation, questions, etc.)
30 minute case study with a manager
30 minute behavioral interview with a partner
30 minute case study with a manager

Deloitte is more interested in your thought-process than getting the right answer in the case studies. Do not worry if you think you messed up. And don't get too ahead of yourself if you think you did great. Realistically, it's tough to know if you nailed the interview or didn't do well because there are a ton of factors that go into the process.

I really enjoyed my interview experience. From the partners to the managers to the recruiters, everyone was responsive, engaging, and insightful. I'm looking forward to working for the Firm.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3+ monthsinterviewed at Deloitte (Arlington, VA) in March 2015.

    Interview

An employee sent in my CV for a specific position back in late November, but I received an email stating that my experience was not a fit for that position and didn't hear anything else for months. I did eventually hear from Deloitte HR in late February, and the process went incredibly fast after that.
I spoke with a recruiter over the phone, and after discussing my experience she immediately scheduled me to come into the Rosslyn office for a series of three interviews in one day. A week and a half later I went in for the interviews. I stayed in one small room and three employees (manager, senior manager, and principal) rotated around to talk with me.
There were three interviews: fit, behavioral, and case. The fit and behavioral interviews were very relaxed and mainly revolved around my previous work and how I handled specific situations (how did you handle a situation when your team members did not agree on an issue?). The interviewers were incredibly nice and made me feel immediately at ease. The case interview started a little tense (I was nervous), and they asked me about implementing a new system at a government agency. I wasn't quite expecting this, as I do not have a technical background at all, so make sure you know the SDLC basics. It was a relatively short case, and I relaxed as the interviewer answered my questions.
It really seemed like the priority was how well you present yourself and how enthusiastic you are about the position and the company. Remember to relax!
