    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Deloitte.

    Interview

phone interview including a 30-min behavioral questions and a 30-min case analysis. For the case interview, it is nothing special. But considering the position, it focuses on human capital. But for the behavioral one, questions are kind of tricky. The recruiter is pretty nice. Send several email and make a call to confirm the schedule. Quick email response. Anyway it is a good experience.

    Application

I applied through college or university – interviewed at Deloitte.

    Interview

Applied via On-Campus Job Portal. Interview was pretty conversational. 2, 30 minute interview with senior partner and managing partner. Both of them gave their introductions first and later they asked about me. Questions were like tell me about yourself, team related questions, etc. Basically you got to prepare for behavioral interview questions. I got to learn a lot from the conversation. Moreover I got several tips about on how to communicate lucid sentences in a more effective ways to your senior members.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Deloitte in February 2015.

    Interview

Applied through college recruiting for S&O internship. First round was a 30 minute case interview and a 30 minute behavioral interview. Very standard behavioral questions and a pretty straightforward case. Second round was the next day on campus: one hour long case interview with 2 interviewers. More difficult and pretty complex math.

    Senior Manager Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Deloitte.

    Interview

Applied via Deloitte's online job board. Two weeks later I was contacted by the experienced hire recruiter via email to arrange a time for a telephone interview. We confirmed a mutually agreeable time and the recruiter confirmed she would call me. The agreed upon time came...no call. Approximately 50 minutes later I received an email stating she could call in 20 minutes if I was still available. I agreed to still speak with her and she called offering her apologies for missing our originally scheduled time. The conversation was pleasant with nothing unexpected. The recruiter advised me that she would be in touch. The next day she emailed stating she was referring me to a hiring manager for a phone interview. This interview was scheduled one week later. Again, nothing unexpected and a very pleasant conversation with the hiring manager. I followed up with the recruiter the next day and she advised that I would be interviewing with another hiring manager. This interview was scheduled to occur three days later but had to be rescheduled because of a holiday gathering. It was rescheduled for the following week. This interview was also very routine , professional, and went very well. The hiring manager advised that communication would probably slow for two weeks since Christmas was the following week. I followed up with the recruiter after the third interview. I again emailed her after the New Year and followed up with a voice mail. Zero communication. Also during this process I was provided with an official application, release, and background check. I have over 24 years experience in the profession and recently retired as a military officer. I am disappointed in the lack of professional courtesy offered by Deloitte. If I was no longer under consideration for their position a simple email or phone call would have been great. At this point, I will not consider Deloitte for future opportunities...if communication drops at the pre-hire stage it leads me to believe communication would be problematic as an employee.

    Interview

Interview through campus recruiting. Resume drop, coffee chat, then and invitation to first round interviews. Interview was a 30 min behavioral and 30 min case study. Make sure you go to the coffee chat and talk to re recruiters there! A few people at the coffee chat did not get first round interview invitations. Nothing out of the ordinary, went through resume. Case study was a lot tougher, kept grilling on the same questions.

    Financial Consultant Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 dayinterviewed at Deloitte (Washington, DC) in February 2015.

    Interview

I had originally applied for a different position, but the recruiter thought I would be a better fit for this opening, so she scheduled me to interview for it last minute. However, she failed to inform me that it was different or even what the interview was for. Everyone I met during the interview was very nice and professional, and I enjoyed speaking with them. I had heard how classy Deloitte is, so I fully expected at least some communication with the recruiter in regards to my status following the interview. However, it seems the recruiters in Washington D.C. have assumed the unfortunate mentality that so many other employers have in this buyers job market. After several email and call attempts over the course of 3 weeks, the recruiters never had the decency to let me know I wasn't selected. I heard nothing. I know it's a prevalent practice in Today's economy for recruiters to neglect to display the least bit of human decency by letting interviewees know they didn't get the position, but to me, it's tarnished the reputation of what I've been told is a classy outfit. To be fair, Deloitte is just one of many employers in my experience who seem to have adopted this troubling mentality that applicants who take vacation time to interview with their company don't deserve followup communication, but I honestly expected a littler more from them.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at Deloitte (Boston, MA) in February 2015.

    Interview

Applied online through school. Brief phone screening and then two on campus interviews. One behavioral and one case. The case study was very difficult, was more of an operations question and they kept pushing me for more options. The math section of the case was easy but I got bogged down in the numbers and ran out of time on the last question. The behavioral interview was pretty standard, the interviewer was easy to talk to and all of the questions were relatively standard.
