I applied online. The process took 1 day – interviewed at Dillard's (Provo, UT) in May 2015.
I went on their website and applied and than the very next day I got called for an interview. It was a very fast interview and he asked me the same questions as on the questionnaire application. Only about 3-4 questions. It was very pleasant and I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. At the end he said that he didn't have any positions open but he wanted to interview me cause he liked my resume and application.

I applied online – interviewed at Dillard's (Oklahoma City, OK).
Basically I applied online and I have a really close friend that works there so I put her down as an employee reference. About a week later, I got a call from Dillard's and the woman was extremely nice. I go to the interview and I had thought that I got the job because she copied my drivers license and ID and we did the military background check and I filled out a bunch of papers but I still haven't received a call back. She told me to call her in a week if I didn't hear from her so I did and she said she was waiting for the sales managers to give her open positions.It's been two weeks. Not even a call to tell me that I didn't get the job, I even emailed her and she didn't respond.

A friend referred me to Dillard's. I applied online December 27, 2013. I received a phone call for interview on January 2, 2015. I interviewed on January 5, 2015 with Cosmetics manager and Fragrance manager. She suggest I start on fragrance department since it had been several years that I worked in cosmetics. She also aid Dillard start new hirers part-time. I was told if I meet or exceed my sales goals, I would be offered a position in cosmetics.
- I was asked what was my sale numbers in cosmetics at a previous employer? This was difficult because I could not remember my numbers at all. She also ask if I can hustle? They want to know that you are aggressive and can meet your sale goals. 1 Answer

I applied online. The process took 1 day – interviewed at Dillard's.
I only was able to do the one interview due to schedule issues. The interview was going well until she told me I was required to work on the weekends. On my applications, I put work for Monday through Friday from the morning until the afternoon. Therefore I was unable to do the second interview. The interview was more like a pitch on what the job consisted of and if I was willing to do it. I wish they had more consideration on the times put in the application. I was told I would be started as part time but would get 18 of my hours on Saturday and Sunday. It seemed like the interview was less about me and more about the rules of the job. It was a bit strange but honestly if I did not have a scheduling conflict for the weekends, I would have gone to the second audition. The people I met were very kind.

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day – interviewed at Dillard's.
They interviewed several soon to be graduates at my university. The practice is the face to face interview then another interview at HQ in Little Rock, Arkansas. Its a half a day process and they would pay for it all and one would meet the Buying team. The training program would last several weeks then one would be given a department to management in one the various regions before being able to work in the buying of Headquarters.

I was called by the hiring manager that she found my resume on monster.com and she wanted me to apply on their website and she would give me a call back shortly after to schedule an interview. So I did immediately after the phone call. Well, a few days past by and I never received a phone call back. I called them and asked for the hiring manager and they hung up on me more than once. I finally got a hold of the store manager and she apologized and said she would send the message to the hiring manager that I was trying to reach her. A couple of days went by afterwards and received a phone call from the hiring manager stating that the position was no longer available. I was extremely upset that they did not even give the chance to come in and interview. The hiring manager psyched me up for no reason.

I applied online – interviewed at Dillard's (Saint Louis, MO) in April 2014.
Had phone interview. Had in person interview with store manager. Had another phone interview. Never heard back from anyone for 3 weeks. I found out they were still looking for candidates when they reposted the job on every career website. Very unprofessional. Salon was in despair because no one was attending to it.

They call you, ask you to come in for an interview or two. If they like you they hire you and train you in different positions and stick you in a department. If you do well they may offer you full time and/ or give you a raise after 3 months.

I applied online. The process took 5 days – interviewed at Dillard's (Chandler, AZ) in April 2014.
I applied online and received a call from 2 different locations within 24 hours. I interviewed at both places, filled out background information and availability forms at one of the locations but have not received a call back from either. I'm going to call today for a follow-up. I brought my resume with me as well.
