I applied online and the process took 6 weeks - interviewed at Discover in December 2010.

Interview Details – I was contacted by the recruiter, we talked on the phone for 30 mins, and then I came in on a 4 hour face-to-face interview with the HR team in January

After the interview, the recruiter set the expectation that I would be contacted after 1st round interviews were completed. I followed up a number of times (via voice mail) and finally received an email from the recruiter 4 weeks after my face-to-face...but it was a blow off email that said something about still interviewing candidates. 2 weeks after that, the job was posted as HR Business Leader out on LinkedIn. I left voice mails messages for the recruiter after I saw the posting...and simply asked for closure. NOBODY called me back. I then got a call a week later from a recruiting firm that had my info from years ago....and they were now retained for the role and wanted to talk with me. I told them no thanks. After sending an email to their CHRO, I got a call from the Dir of recruiting who spent 30 mins apologizing for how I was treated. If they treat their HR candidates like crap.....how do they treat other candidates? Just saying.....
