    I applied through a recruiter – interviewed at EY in November 2014.

    Interview Details

    Two step process:
    1. Phone interview - I was interviewed by a Senior Manager who asked basic questions about my experience and shared her background and experience.
    2. Office Visit - Went into the Chicago office and interviewed with two principals and one senior manager. Again spoke about recent experience (especially items related to the level I was applying for) and they answered questions about the company, environment, types of project.

    Applied through campus recruiting. Took two days to give me feedback. I had pre-event with EY and it went well. Quite laid back. The thing you should do at the even is relax and get attention from them.

    I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at EY.

    Interview Details

    Generalist interview, technical phone interview, on-site interview. General recruiter to describe role and process. technical phone interview to see if you have technical knowledge, on-site if you pass. A bit more detailed than expected phone interview. More job specific questions than most phone interviews. Been to on-site 4 hour interviews with others with ample preparation, but the grilling starts on the technical screen.

    Interview Details

    Submitted my resume to EY recruiter who contacted me the next day. Phone interview with a sr. manager occurred a week later. Invited to NYC office for 'Super Day' which consisted of 4 1:1 interviews (sr. manager, director, partner, and partner/principle). One of the 1:1s involved a case question. Super Day was held on a Friday; the recruiter contacted me on the following Thursday regarding outcome/next steps.

    • The case involved a client who was experiencing declining profitability in one of its lines of business. Two questions were asked: 1) What approach would you use to understand why there is a decline in profitability?, and 2) Calculate revenues by LOB based on percentage of total revenue by year (numbers were provided).   View Answer

    Interview Details

    Got a call from a third party recruiter for the role, had a phone conversation with a senior manager in the team. A couple of weeks later I was invited for a day-long in-house and talked to an HR person, a couple of senior managers and a partner.

    • The whole process was smooth but seemed unnecessarily long. You need to show that you are into extensive traveling and are a 'road warrior' if you want to work in EY's advisory pillar.   Answer Question

    Got a call from EY recruiter. Had a first screening with a HR and one with a Sr. Manager and clearing that round in the same week, was sent to NY for interview. Had a discussion with a sr manager there and while discussing with the partner found that they send me for a different dept. to interview with...disappointing...
    After 2 days got a call that they want to have further discussions. they scheduled 2 interviews/screenings with managers. It went pretty well, atleast thats what i thought.. Got a call from HR after 4 days that they loved to talk to me but my profile/experience does not match what they were looking for in the position....Shouldn't they be looking into my resume first if the profile is not what they are looking for and avoid wasting time.

    Interview Details

    Very professional process. Recruiter contacted by phone and email, set up a quick 20 minute phone call. Very easy, more of a conversation about what I've done in the past and what I want to do in the future. This was the same format that followed with the other 6 interviews, including Partners, Senior Managers, and a couple of other Managers. They did this all over the phone, never met me in person. Super friendly and transparent. Everyone was very open about their experiences. Recruiter did a wonderful job keeping me informed every step of the way.

    Interview Details

    Recruiter got in touch via email. Had a phone interview with a senior manager and then was invited for an in-person interview. Was interviewed for three hours by four senior managers and one partner. Overall it was a pleasant experience and was given an offer the next day. The recruiter was very prompt and handled the entire process flawlessly.
