    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at EY (McLean, VA).

    Interview

First round of interviews was a phone interview with the recruiter. We had met before so it was comfortable and conversational. Lasted ~ 20-30 minutes. About two weeks later I was told I was invited to the second round of interviews.

The second round of interviews was a super day. The super day starts with a breakfast with the other recruits and several staff members. We were paired with a "buddy" for the day. The goal of the breakfast is to calm your nerves and let you get to know some of the staff. After the breakfast, the recruiters gave a presentation about the firm and talked to you about their own experiences at the firm. Next, we had the interviews. I had 2 interviews with managers which each lasted 30 minutes. The interviews were strictly behavioral questions ("tell me about a time when...") and questions about my resume and transcript. I did not find the interviews to be stressful and the interviewers did not ask any particularly tricky questions. Following the interviews, we had a panel of first- and second-year staff answer questions we had about the company, the job, the area, etc. Finally, we were treated to lunch with our buddies and the other recruits and sent on our way!

I heard back about my offer roughly a week and a half after my final interview.

    Interview

First, there was a resume screen followed by a 1:1 interview with a senior manager, who primarily asked "walk me through your resume" and follow-up questions. A few weeks after that, there was a social with hors d'oeuvres the night before the interview. The interview day included three interviews with ascending levels of management, including a break for lunch and a brief presentation about EY and why we should work for them. It lasted from about 9am until 3:30pm.

The entire interview process focused on fit. You're going to be working with some of these people late at night, and you have to ensure that you like them and they like you. It felt very similar to fraternity rush, just more professional. Shake plenty of hands, make small talk, shine your shoes and press your suit and you will be fine if you have made it past the first round.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at EY (Atlanta, GA) in October 2014.

    Interview

Introduced to partner at a campus career fair where I submitted my resume. I was invited to an on campus interview about a week later. My interview with the manager was laid back and casual, no hard questions were asked, just a run through of my resume and experience. I had the opportunity to ask her questions about her experience with the firm and came prepared with some more specific, relevant questions as well to show my interest in the firm. I waited 3 and half weeks for a response, and finally had to follow up with them. I was told that it was just a very competitive environment for full time positions.

I applied in-person. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at EY (Roseville, CA).

    Interview

After campus interview, was offered to come in for a series of in house interviews. This took the better part of the day and consisted of three one on one interviews. After the in house interviews I got a call back a week later with the offer.

    Interview Questions

    • Most questions were behavioral and not technical. The hardest part was finding meaningful questions for each of the interviewers. There was a lot of time given for interviewee questions.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

I was unable to negotiate the wage. It was a take it or leave it offer.

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at EY (New York, NY) in February 2014.

    Interview

I applied through my school career website. In about 2 weeks I received an invitation for an on-campus interview. It was a 30-minute behavioral interview with a partner. She was very friendly and welcoming. Some of the questions she asked were: Why do you want to work in consulting? Why do you want to work at EY? Tell me about a situation when you were a leader in a team? Tell me about a conflict that you experienced in a team... They called me the next day to invite for a super day on Friday. It consisted of 2 behavioral and 1 case interview. The super day started very early. I had to be in the office by 8.15am. In the beginning we had a presentation, then we were introduced to our escorts who showed around the office that day. The behavioral interviews were pretty much the same as in the first round. The case study was about a brick and mortar bank that wanted to merge with an online bank. Later we had lunch with our escorts. They took us to a nice restaurant on Times Square. We talked, ate, and had a good time. But don't be caught off guard- this is also a part of your interview. The day after the super day the recruiter called me to make an offer. they gave me 3 weeks to decide.

    Interview

The first interview was held on campus with an employer from the office. This interview was very laid back and was more about getting to know me. The next step was a trip to the office for another round of interviews. I met with a manager and partner, and this was also more of a discussion about whether EY was the right fit for me. There was not any behavioral questions asked that were overly difficult to answer, and the interviewers were definitely not trying to catch you off guard or trip you up on anything.

    Interview Questions

    • I was given a case study that I was to analyze and present possible solutions to the problem. This wasn't overly difficult and the interviewer didn't really look into my answer that much.   2 Answers

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at EY (San Jose, CA) in October 2013.

    Interview

On campus interview, got a call back the next day for on-site interview. On-site interview was much like on-campus interview where they try to judge if you are someone that fits into the company culture/work ethic. Directly after the on-site interview, they gave me an offer. Process was very straightforward.
