I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at EY.

Interview Details – Generalist interview, technical phone interview, on-site interview. General recruiter to describe role and process. technical phone interview to see if you have technical knowledge, on-site if you pass. A bit more detailed than expected phone interview. Associate Consultant Interview

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 1 week - interviewed at EY in February 2014.

Interview Details – The recruiter asked me those of behavioral questions, such as how do you deal with stress? give me an example of your leading role on a team; how do you get yourself started to learn new skills and knowledge? How do you deal with tight relationship with teammates. These questions were pretty easy to answer if you are prepared, the interview circumstance was pretty relaxed.

Assurance - Audit Service Position Interview

Assurance - Audit Service Position

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 2 months - interviewed at EY in June 2014.

Interview Details – I used to be an auditor but I left audit practice to be an accountant 4 years ago. I wanted to go back to audit so I contacted my friend who works with EY. She helped me upload my resume onto the internal referral site and one of the EY recruiters contact me. The recruiter was very helpful throughout the process. I was invited to the Boston office and had 3 back to back interviews. The interviews went well. I thought I would get an offer but unfortunately I did not.

Assurance Staff Interview

Assurance Staff
Los Angeles, CA

I interviewed at EY in March 2012.

Interview Details – Do not be nervous. Most questions are behavioral questions from your past jobs. If you had any previous jobs or internships, be prepared with themes like difficult situations you had to handle, what you learned from the job etc. Don't try to memorize anything. Just listen to the questions and answer naturally.

Interview Question – Not much of difficult question. I did not answer well the "why I wanted the position". Silly mistake, be prepared.   Answer Question

Audit Intern Interview

Audit Intern

Interviewed at EY

Interview Details – Met with two people (both who arrived late as I was the first interview of the day), ended up spending about 5 minutes with one and 5 minutes with the other instead of a full interview. As it was, I had no time to really ask any questions nor really be asked any questions. Interviewers seemed to dismiss me before they even walked in the room (given how late they were). In short, I was not terribly impressed.

Interview Question – N/A - didn't really have a chance to get asked any questions.   Answer Question

I applied through college or university and interviewed at EY.

Interview Details – I went through recruitment from college that involved several steps. First there was a networking meet & greet followed by two separate interviews. The first interview was one on one while the second one was with a senior associate and a manager at the firm. Overall not too bad of an interviewing process.

Interview Question – What are some of your weaknesses and how do you think EY can help improve on them?   Answer Question

Advisory Services Senior Manager (FSO) Interview

Advisory Services Senior Manager (FSO)
New York, NY

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 3+ weeks - interviewed at EY in April 2014.

Interview Details – Submitted my resume to EY recruiter who contacted me the next day. Phone interview with a sr. manager occurred a week later. Invited to NYC office for 'Super Day' which consisted of 4 1:1 interviews (sr. manager, director, partner, and partner/principle). One of the 1:1s involved a case question. Super Day was held on a Friday; the recruiter contacted me on the following Thursday regarding outcome/next steps.

Interview Question – The case involved a client who was experiencing declining profitability in one of its lines of business. Two questions were asked: 1) What approach would you use to understand why there is a decline in profitability?, and 2) Calculate revenues by LOB based on percentage of total revenue by year (numbers were provided).   View Answer
