    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at EY in October 2014.

    Interview

A writing assessment is required for interviewing with advisory group. Pre night before 1st round on-campus interview. The next day was a 1-1 behavioral interview. Very standard process. 2 days after 1st round, I received a call saying I was invited to the office visit which is the 2nd round interview and was asked to choice a day (next week or the week after). 2nd round started with a breakfast at 8:30am with other candidates from the region, hosts of each candidate, and recruiters. Breakfast ended around 9:50am. There were 3 one on one interviews. My first one was a case interview with a 10 pages doc. But all you need to know is the SWOT analysis. My second and third interview were very conversational based. We talked about my resume, my school work, previous internship experience. I told the recruiter that I was going overseas the day after tomorrow so I may not be able to answer calls. She said no problem. And the next day she called me saying she wanted to let me know I got the offer before I travel overseas. Very considerable. =)

On-campus interview, then office interview. Flew me into San Francisco for the interview and paid for my airfare, hotel, and food. It was a nice experience. The office interview occurred approximately 2 weeks after the on-campus interview. Got to set up possible day that would work.

    Interview

Position posted on Campus Recruiting website. Applied and 1 day after deadline I got email for phone interview. Interviewer was a manager. Basic questions regarding to my resume. Since I have IT background in my undergraduate study but I only have experience in Finance and Tax, interviewer seems to be upset.

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at EY in September 2014.

    Interview

2 rounds, one on campus and one in the office you are applying. The first round was very much about the fit and personality of the individual; try to explain why you fit the position and the company's culture. Be very conversational; don't memorize what you are going to say, don't be scripted. The second round is more about fitting into the position and some behavior questions. There is a online, timed writing assessment for this position before 1st round of interview. stay calm because you can't prepare for it. the second round has a case study that you can't prepare for also. Depending on the location, some may ask heavily behavior question in round 1 and fit questions in the second or a combination.

    Interview Questions

    • In the second round, they expect you to ask them a lot of questions, as oppose to them asking you in the first round. Prepare, prepare, prepare.   Answer Question

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at EY (Columbus, OH).

    Interview

One campus interview, a writing assessment, two behavioral interviews and a case interview. The interview process wasn't too taxing, don't over think the interview, typical behavioral interviews all in all it was a laid back process.

    Interview Questions

    • The case interview was stressful going into but I found it easy once I started, the interviewer somewhat guides you on the issues and they are more interested in how and why you think not necessarily what is the correct answer. Be confident and support your answers. Be rehearsed on business tactics like SWOT analysis.   Answer Question

    Reasons for Declining

I'm more technology side: Business Analyst as opposed to doing accounting audits. I chose to stay with my passion of IT BA instead of taking the accounting route.
