Technology Advisor Program Interview

Technology Advisor Program
New York, NY

I applied through college or university and the process took 6 weeks - interviewed at EY in December 2012.

Interview Details – Got the initial interview through university recruiting? I think, not entirely sure. Phone interview is 30 minutes. Two weeks later, heard back and was asked to do a writing assessment. I think this was the "2nd round." A few weeks later was invited to a Super Day. First there's a presentation about the company and the program. Then there are 3 interviews: 2 behavioral, 1 case study. You will DEFINITELY interview with someone (if not all) of significance. My first interview was with a partner and I completely ruined it. 2nd interview and 3rd interview (case study) went well. Greeters are young/recent grads. Extremely friendly, they bring you to eat after all the interviews.

Interview Question – Why are you interested in finance if you have no financial experience? What led you to EY? How do you time-manage? Do you have any questions for me?   Answer Question

Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services Internship Interview

Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services Internship
New York, NY

I applied through college or university - interviewed at EY in October 2012.

Interview Details – On Campus interview followed by a super day at the company. I was interviewed by 2 managers and later on they invited us for lunch with other candidates. People are very nice. Just make sure you remember the names of the interviewers and to ask questions that are specific to the position you are interviewing for.

Interview Question – Regular questions.
Why E&Y? Why FIDs? Tell me about a time when you were working on something and thought everything was going well but at the last minute you realized that it was not going well, how did you approach the situation?

FIDS Summer Intern Interview

FIDS Summer Intern
New York, NY

I applied through college or university - interviewed at EY in September 2012.

Interview Details – I was interviewed on-campus, after applying for the position through my university's career services department. The interviewer's technique seemed to be very cut and dry. I've participated in other interviews with the big four that seemed more like a conversation, but this one was not like that at all. The FIDS manager simply asked me questions in a very matter-of-fact manner.

Interview Question – Tell me about a time when you encountered a difficult situation at work.   Answer Question

Fraud Investigation & Dispute Service Staff Interview

Fraud Investigation & Dispute Service Staff
New York, NY

I applied through college or university and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at EY.

Interview Details – I sent my resume through campus recruiting, and filled out online application form on EY's website. About 2 weeks after the deadline, I received an email, stating that I was selected for the 1st round interview at campus by a manager. A week after the interview, I got the rejection by email. 2nd round will be in office and by partner(s), but I will not be able to provide any detail.

Interview Question – Nothing difficult or unexpected, all behavioral. The one I didn't give good answer was "what's your career path?"   Answer Question
