Integration Engineer Interview

I applied online and the process took 4 months - interviewed at Epic Systems Corporation in June 2014.

Interview Details – The interview process is very extensive. First you apply and wait a few weeks for a one hour phone interview. After this you take a very long test (3 hour) that uses an online proctoring system. It has various questions about programming language logic, and general logic, and grammar.
After a few weeks you then take another personality test and set up to go there in person. Going there is the best part of the process, they pay for the process and set you up in a snazzy hotel and take you out for dinner. The day after is a full day of learning about the company, doing a few interviews, and taking another computer IQ assessment.

Interview Question – Lots of questions about how you previously handled difficult situations you encountered.   Answer Question

I applied online and the process took 4 weeks - interviewed at Epic Systems Corporation.

Interview Details – Application, phone screening, assessment tests, on-site tour/interview. From app to on-site took about a month.

On-site had multiple aspects to it, including overview of the company, small-group meeting with current QA, tour, and meeting with HR.

It does become a very long day, so be prepared to be energetic at all times. Everyone who I encountered was very welcoming and helpful.

I applied online - interviewed at Epic Systems Corporation in June 2014.

Interview Details – Phone Interview: Why Epic? Introduce your project; Screening Interview: 4 Parts, randomly selection (2-Minutes, Math, Programming, New technology).

Suggestions: the difference between phone interview and screening interview should not be too long, there is no sequence between those two interview processes.

Technical Writer Interview

Technical Writer

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Epic Systems Corporation in March 2014.

Interview Details – I made it through until the second to last round of the hiring process. The first round was the initial application, followed by a phone interview. I then had to complete a two hour (limit) writing exercise. That wasn't too bad. If you have decent writing skills, you should be fine. I then had to complete a two-hour online assessment. The assessment is given to all prospective employees. It contained only one writing related section, plus several logic and programming sections. As a writer, I am not "smart" in those ways, and that tripped me up. I knew afterward I had done very poorly on the overall assessment and was not surprised when I was not asked to complete the final round of hiring.

Interview Question – The most difficult thing was the final assessment. It's frustrating to be evaluated for my logic and programming skills when I am interviewing to be a writer, but I suppose they want all their employees to be proficient in basic programming?   Answer Question

Project Manager Interview

I applied through college or university and the process took 1+ week - interviewed at Epic Systems Corporation.

Interview Details – Responses to emails were made in a timely manner and make themselves available to respond to any questions you have. I really enjoyed my phone interview. Most of the interview was consumed by a description of the company and small talk, but I think there were sufficient interview questions were asked. I think they have a huge preference for hiring very young people, right out of college, and have a high turnover rate so be aware that they are constantly interviewing people.

I applied online and the process took 5 weeks - interviewed at Epic Systems Corporation in June 2014.

Interview Details – You start with a phone call -- average questions, my lady was very nice -- and then they set you up for the tests. For me it took about 5-10 days in-between each thing to hear back from them. I didn't have the intense programming section of the test, so for me it was four sections. There are a lot of word games and awkwardly phrased questions to try to throw you through a loop. It took me about an hour and a half to finish everything, though, and it's not too hard. The mandatory programming section is a little tricky if you have no experience, but it's simple if you take short notes while you're going through it. After that, you'll do another short assessment like most jobs do (do you consider yourself an angry person or a submissive person, etc.) and then wait again to hear back. If they decide to do the on-campus interview, they'll pay for everything. So even if you aren't sure about the position, it's a great opportunity and the campus is great. On campus you'll have around three or four interviews, a tour, a presentation consisting of one 15-minute and one 2-minute teaching session, and info sessions. They'll also pay for lunch, and possibly for dinner the night before.

Interview Question – During my first interview, they asked me to impromptu teach on a subject I would not be teaching later that day.   View Answer

Project Manager/Implementation Consultant Interview

I applied online and the process took 6 weeks - interviewed at Epic Systems Corporation in May 2014.

Interview Details – Initial casual 30 min phone interview to go over resume points. Then scheduled to take a logic assessment. Took about 2.5 hours and was proctored by a third party site that watched on webcam to make sure you weren't using other resources. Setting that up was kind of a pain. I was then contacted again via email letting me know they wanted to fly me out for an on-site interview. Took me and other recruits out to dinner the night before the interview and gave us a tour of Madison. On the interview day they gave us an intro presentation then candidates Then I had to give a 10 min presentation on any topic I wanted (they'd told me I had to do this before the trip), then was interviewed 1 on 1 by HR, then read and gave case analysis recommendations, then took a tour of the campus, then was lastly interviewed by a Project Manager.

Interview Question – Tell me something nice you've done for someone lately.   Answer Question
