I was emailed by who worked at Epic suggesting that I apply to work there after graduation. I applied, had a casual phone interview, took a three hour long test, and went to Epic for an on site interview. The on site interview was pretty casual and everyone was nice. I received a phone call two weeks later telling me that I did not get the job.

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Epic Systems Corporation in May 2014.

    Interview Details

I applied through career center job posting at my university. First, there was a short phone interview which was super easy, nothing unexpected. Then, I was scheduled to take an online assessment test which consisted of several parts. Some logic, math etc questions. The most difficult part was a programming assessment where you had to write a program in the language you know (or a pseudo code) to solve a given problem. It consisted of 3 problems and I did only one. I am guessing this hurt me since I wasn't advanced to the next stage of the interview process.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2+ weeksinterviewed at Epic Systems Corporation.

They found my resume posted on my college's career site and contacted me. Getting notification for setting up interview times was quick and efficient; they really love using e-mail. The interview was the most awkward thing I have ever done; the interviewer didn't seem to know what she was doing. But that process is the easiest. I ended up taking the online exams and it took over 2 weeks for them to get back to me.

    Interview Questions
    • As someone who doesn't know how to program at all, the programming portion of the exam was very difficult.   Answer Question

Initial phone interview, basic behavioral style and basic questions about resume/background info. Interviewer seemed like he just wanted to make sure I was interested in the position. Online computer programming test that used a generic programming language to test technical skills/capabilities. Will be invited to visit the Epic campus in Wisconsin if your performance on the test meets their hiring standards.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took a weekinterviewed at Epic Systems Corporation.

    Interview Details

Was approached at a career fair and was called for an interview 2 days later. The interview was basic, just a discussion of your background, etc. Received an email the next day to take an online assessment. Took the assessment yesterday, it was about 2 hours long. I have serious reservations about a company that uses a intelligence assessment online for someone with a PhD. I am now waiting to hear back from them.

    Reasons for Declining

I don't like the vibe I get.. sounds like everyone is just running around putting out one fire after the next, poorly planned and run in large part by people too young to manage a group of people.

I applied online. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at Epic Systems Corporation.

    Interview Details

The whole interview process was very long.

It started with applying online. Around a week or so later I was asked to do an online survey. Almost like a personality test.

About two weeks later I was called to do a phone interview. This is the basic interview you would normally think of. Best qualities, worst qualities, etc..

Another week or two and I was sent to a testing center to take a test. Fairly easy if you're good at logic questions.

I was then flown out to Madison. They treat their recruits very very well. I had a great time when I was there. The interview process while there is very scheduled. Exactly as the other reviews have said.

Applied online and got called for a phone interview a few days later. Interview was with a person who actually does the job and not some random HR rep so that was a plus. Interview went for about 45 minutes and the person seemed pretty knowledgeable about the company (culture & purpose) and the job itself (it was his 5th year).
