Project Manager/Implementation Consultant Interview

Project Manager/Implementation Consultant
Madison, WI

I applied through college or university and the process took 5 weeks - interviewed at Epic Systems Corporation in January 2014.

Interview Details – First step was a short interview after they had contacted me through my university's career center. After that you have to take a short test which includes programming (I do not know how to program well but I still passed and ended up getting to the next round) finally, they fly you out to madison to see the beautiful campus and have you work on a case (10 minutes to read a page long case of a hospital implementing epic tech then employee will ask you questions about it) Finally, the oft mentioned 10 minute presentation which was actually pretty relaxed. I didn't bring any props so don't worry about it.

Interview Question – 5 things that don't describe you.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Still unsure if I will be accepting

Project Manager/Implementation Consultant Interview

Project Manager/Implementation Consultant
Verona, WI

I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Epic Systems Corporation in October 2012.

Interview Details – HR Phone Screen, 2 rounds of personality assessments, analytic skills testing, in person interviews

Interview Question – HR screen was straight forward, very friendly. Skills assessment killed me, extremely frustrating. I knew at that point the position wasn't a great fit for me, and vice versa.   Answer Question

Project Manager/Implementation Consultant Interview

Project Manager/Implementation Consultant

Interviewed at Epic Systems Corporation

Interview Details – Applied through a job posting and filled out application on their website. Received several emails from HR and then was given a phone interview. Phone interview was pretty basic, he asked me to walk through my resume, ask questions about the job, and some HR questions. Only behavioral question was "Where do you see yourself in five years?" Seemed more like a screening than anything else. A few days later I received an email asking me to do the Epic Assessment, which wasn't too difficult. Pretty basic SAT type test. A few of the math questions and analytical reasoning questions were hard but nothing to stress about. Ended up being invited to the final interview a few days later and am still waiting to hear back.

Interview Question – A man just finished painting his house and goes to the hardware store to get something more. He finds what he is looking for and the clerk says "One for $1." The man replies, "I need 600, so here's $3." What did he buy?   View Answer

I applied online and the process took 2+ weeks - interviewed at Epic Systems Corporation in December 2013.

Interview Details – Applied online, got an email for a phone interview. After phone interview, flew out the their HQ for a day of interviews. Was one of the easiest interviews I've ever had. The "case question" was pretty much a joke, but then again I have done TONS of case interviews for management consulting interviews.

Interview Question – Nothing unexpected   Answer Question

I applied through an employee referral - interviewed at Epic Systems Corporation in January 2014.

Interview Details – The process is really streamlined, and the HR people stay in constant contact throughout the process. Might be that they just pump a lot of people through it. Regardless, the other reviews are spot on as to what the process is. Application submit, 30 min telephone 'interview', assessment (on-line), and then on sight.

Project Manager/Implementation Consultant

I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Epic Systems Corporation in January 2014.

Interview Details – Applied online (short, basic questions), attached resume and cover letter
Heard back from HR within the week, set up phone interview.
Phone interview <30 minutes, with a current employee that mostly introduced himself and the company, very pleasant to talk to. Asked me about my interests and some stuff on my resume. Next, received the Rembrandt profile assessment and other skills assessments (mostly logic reasoning, grammar, SAT math type of questions).
Got a phone call the next day that I received an on-site interview with Epic!
Still waiting for the email confirmation to set up travel dates.

Interview Question – What is one thing you would like to tell us that isn't on your resume?   Answer Question

I applied through college or university and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Epic Systems Corporation.

Interview Details – Submitted my resume via school job website, and a few days later I was contacted by HR to set up a phone interview- this was pretty basic. 30 minutes, went over my resume and test scores, asked about my reason for applying to Epic and interest in the job. A few days later I was asked to complete the skills/assessment tests. This took around 3 hours. It was hard, but not terrible. About a week later, I was asked to do the onsite interview. THIS WAS A TOTAL BLAST! I had so much fun. Went out for dinner in a group the night before, and then took a taxi to the campus the next morning. There was an interview with a project manager, a case study interview, a 10 minute presentation, and a final interview with HR. I wasn't really thrown off by any of the questions.

Interview Question – 5 things you are not? Are you detail oriented or big picture oriented? In a situation where you're the leader and the whole team wants something else- do you side with them or not?   Answer Question

Interview Details – Three parts: Online personality questionnaire and aptitude test, phone interview and then all-day interview at headquarters in Verona..

Online personality questionnaire/aptitude test was very easy and straight forward. The phone interview seemed more like a dummy check, and simply asked me to verbally outline my resume.

The in-person interview in Verona was bizarre/discordant. The day consisted of being shuffled around the campus, a team situation interview (paired with another applicant), a programming exam, a verbal/quantitative aptitude test and a 10 minute presentation on a subject of your choosing (which I was informed of a week before flying out).

Interview Question – Off the wall questions on my 10 presentation.   Answer Question
