    Co Manager Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took a weekinterviewed at Express in July 2015.

    Interview

I applied online, and two days later I received a phone call asking me to come in for an interview. During the call I asked "What position am I being considered for?". The manager replied "we can discuss in more detail during your interview". I asked that question because the Co manager and sales associate applications are the same, and there's no way to put your preference. When I get to the interview she ask what I was looking for, and of course I explained. She looked shock and said "oh, those positions are filled". I took off from work to be interviewed for a sales associate position? I work at a very high end department store in management...what would make her think that I want to be a sales associate. I'm truly lost, what make anyone think she works at a high end department for two years in management, that she'll be a great sales associate? Overall waste of an evening, for a 1 minute interview...and now I'm stuck in traffic.

He made me feel comfortable and and actively listened to the answers oft he questions. He asked about 5 questions and gave each person the opportunity to answer. The interview went smoothly and ran more like a conversation.

    Interview

The interview was great and the store manager was super nice! It was one on one and we went through the whole interview with no problems. She told me that the company looks for potential employees who are bubbly, responsible, and a good fit for the company. Express does not hire under 18, so she told me I couldn't get the job because she didn't realize I was under age.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Express (Boston, MA) in May 2015.

    Interview

I submitted an online application and received a phone call after a week. I scheduled an interview for the next day and they asked me to come at 10am. When I got to the store at 10am they were still closed. I waited outside until they opened and when I introduced myself I was told to walk around and get a feel for the store until they were ready. When they were finally ready for me I was walked over to a corner of the store where I was asked a few questions, however the manager was too busy staring into the distance and barely listened to what I said. The interview lasted about 15 minutes and then I was tole that they'd call my references and update me in a few days. Finger crossed.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 daysinterviewed at Express (Brooklyn, NY).

    Interview

I applied for Express online and I got a call back within a week. I went to the interview and it wasn't anything like I was expecting. I had to look for the manager who made me wait. Usually when I got to interviews I am interviewed in the stock room or the back of the store. But the hiring manager interviewed me on the sales floor ! she was also talking to customers while interviewing me. it made me uncomfortable. I didnt even have to take off my coat. she also greeted me with a limp handshake. Overall, the experience was bad and unprofessional. it was a waste of time considering the interview probably only lasted about 2-3 minutes. 4 minutes max because she was talking to customers.
