Was first contacted by a senior recruiter by email to fill out a questionnaire... Later, appointments were set for four interviews, two technical and two otherwise. Two non technical interviews got cancelled because the recruiters were busy but the technical interview took place as planned. The interviewers were very polite and forthcoming about the details of the job.

    Interview Questions

    • The questions were not very difficult, just basics in JAVA, SQL, XML etc.. Beware, the technical guys know their trade really well and can smell those who are good or not.   Answer Question

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 dayinterviewed at FICO (Singapore (Singapore)) in February 2015.

    Interview

Interview took 1 & a half hour. The hiring manager was very upfront about the requirements & challenges of the role. The information shared by the hiring manager made me wonder if she is seriously looking to hire or pushing potential candidates away. In the end my takeaway is the hiring manager is also looking to get out and FICO is not a easy company to work for. Potentially you are likely to be working even if you are on vacation.

    Interview Questions

    • Do you have plans to have children? (This question totally put me off as it is a very inappropriate question to ask a candidate)   Answer Question

    Interview

The interview was quite a tough one as the expectations were high compared to the Selenium profile. They were particular about complete knowledge of ANT, MAVEN, Jenkins. The questions asked were about the issues faced in their project Ex: a) Finding Xpath for a certain html dynamic code. (which wasn't as simple as it sounds). b) write code in Collections - complete code with the correct function names. (They were not satisfied with crude function names) c) Reversing a String in java without use of reverse / split function.
