Interview Details – Submitted resume... got a callback for some general questions. Came into office and took a basic computer test. Interviewed with a panel of supervisors barely trained in "tell me about a time when......" questions. Then finally sat with office manager for a question/answer session. Almost half of the answers to the questions I asked turned out to be true.
Interview Question – It's claims. Asking base questions out of some junior-level management class or 10-year old behavior-based interview booklet HR just got around to reading is almost demeaning. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – Take it or leave it.
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Jun 2010 – Reviewed Mar 1, 2013
Interview Details – They'll hire anyone and throw you into the job with crappy training. When you don't get it in three weeks, they tell you to get out.
Interview Question – Getting what you deserve. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – He offered, take it or leave it.

Interview Details – Submitted an application online. A phone screening was set up with a recruiter in HR. Eventually, I was contacted for a phone interview with an administrator for the actuarial department, and at the end of the interview an in-person interview was scheduled. The interview was 3 hours long and I met with 7 different people from the department. I heard back after a couple weeks.
Interview Question – Write pseudo code to print a given pattern of numbers. Answer Question

Interview Details – Applied online and about 2 weeks later, I received a phone call from HR. They wanted to know if they could do a phone interview right now. After about 30 minutes of talking with them, they told me that they would like me to come in and take a typing test. If I passed that, I would then go upstairs and sit with an employee for about a hour to watch them. After about a hour, HR came back up and took me downstairs. She informed me that he will pass a recommendation to the hiring manager to go forward with employment. About a week later, I received another phone call and they offered me the job.
Interview Question – Your basic interview questions. Very easy. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – None. Take it or leave it.
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Olathe, KS May 2010 – Reviewed Jan 1, 2013
Interview Details – The first thing that I did was submit an online application. The key was the employee referral to get above all the other candidates. Then I was called to schedule a time for testing all done on the computer. There was a typing test, computer navigation test, a grammar and spelling test, mathematical, and a multi tasking test. If you didn't pass each part of the test then you were done with the application and interview process. After passing all the tests then an interview was scheduled.
Interview Question – The interview was a behavioral interview. Situation, task, action, result. I cant recall the exact questions but they all deal with tough decisions that you had to make, a time when you had to be a mediator, when you had to prioritize, and when you had to change your plans or agenda etc. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – There was no negotiation. Your salary is your salary.
Declined Offer – Interviewed in Manassas, VA – Reviewed Dec 2, 2012
Interview Details – I first went through an over the phone interview and it was no longer than 10mins. I was asked questions about my experiences in sales (if any). This initial talk is easy and isn't hard if you know your self well and can give good examples of experiences. My second interview was faced to face and i got to elaborate more about my self and experiences and pretty much explains why i could be a successful agent. I then took a 20 min assessment that analyzed my personality and thinking skills. Its fairly easy and nothing you need to study for. After this my recruiter/ interviewer took what she saw in me and my test results and had them reviewed by the management committee to offer me a third interview. I got accepted to the third which basically was to make sure i was still interested to be an agent as well as to go over how compensation would work as well as how they would set me up for licensing (that i would pay for) and then attend their "Farmers academy" where they train you. I didn't come back for the fourth and final interview.
Interview Question – None. Just be prepared to tell experiences if you've had in sales and/or show your dedication and how you could be successfull. Answer Question
Declined Offer – Interviewed in Riverside, CA – Reviewed Nov 25, 2012
Interview Details – The interview was really nothing to worry about. They want to know why you would be interested in working in the insurance industry, and they ask a few simple questions to see if you would be a good fit for the job. Mainly though, the interview process is explaining to you how the job is going to work. The one piece of advice I would give is to remember that these people do sales for a living. The won't be too idealistic, but they're still trying to sell the position to you. So you had best come with as many technical questions as you can think of if you really want to know what type of job you'll be looking at
Interview Question – I wasn't asked anything out of the ordinary: "Tell me a bit about yourself", "Why would you be interested in working in insurance", etc. Answer Question
Reason for Declining – I wasn't ready to make such a long term commtiment as they seemed to want. They offer subsidies in your first few years to ensure you make a minimum amount of money every month (because otherwise it's commission only), but in order to be certain to ba able to pay it back if I needed to, I would need to stay at least 5 years. And having never worked in Sales before, I couldn't say for certain I would be able to stand it that long in an aggressive sales environment.
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Austin, TX Oct 2011 – Reviewed Nov 15, 2012
Interview Details – Apply on the company website and HR will set up a single interview. The interview is fairly casual, you begin with a typing test (very easy @ 30 words per minute) then a conversational interview with the HR staff. Nothing unexpected in the interview, talk about your past, your strengths, your weaknesses blah blah blah. Very straightforward and then you just wait for the offer. HR is very communicative and the whole process was very easy. They'll send you an offer letter and then you're in.
Interview Question – None really, just make sure you sound excited about a call-center job, which obviously isn't the easiest thing in the world. I would advise to emphasize your ability to multi-task and your ability to balance the company's rues with a willingness to satisfy the customer. Farmers has an award winning training program so this really is an entry-level position. They're basically just making sure you are a competent person in the interview process. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – I did not negotiate anything, I am unaware if you would be able to negotiate or not.
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Austin, TX Sep 2008 – Reviewed Oct 30, 2012
Interview Details – Initially did a phone interview and then was asked to go in for a 1-1 interview. The interviewer was a little in intimidating, not sure if he was doing it on purpose. He was very serious and was hard to get a good read on what he was thinking.
Interview Question – Name a situation where you and a co-worker didn't get along? View Answer
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Denver, CO – Reviewed Oct 29, 2012
Interview Details – This is strictly behavior-based interviewing here. No "tell me your strengths and weeknesses", "tell me about yourself". No typical interiew questions. Everyone gets the same canned interview questions wherein the company representatives ask you to "tell me about a time you X".
Interview Question – None really, just be prepared to listen to the question carefully and respond with an example ffrom your recent past that best and directly answers the question. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – Limited to no negotiation available.
