I applied online. The process took 5 weeks – interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Houston, TX) in April 2015.
I applied online. Contacted by HR, who first sent two assessment tests. Once completed, set up a phone conversation where I received more detail about the position, then proceeded with a phone interview/screen. A week later I received a call from supervisors and set up in person interview. Had a lengthy bbi interview with them. Called back for field experience and met with management. Received offer. Very professional, understanding, and knowledgeable staff.
- several bbi questions Answer Question
Do your research before you negotiate. Throwing something outlandish out there can sometimes hurt you. Provide valuable facts about your worth. See what they can do.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks – interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Philadelphia, PA) in April 2015.
applied online, then I took a 2 hour test, just had a panel interview. The questions were behavioral based. The recruiters were very thorough , I am waiting for a call back. I think there is one more round of interviews.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks – interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Olathe, KS) in March 2015.
I applied online and then took a two hour assessment online. I was contacted by a recruiter to do a phone interview. The interview was all behavior based questions. Be specific and give examples! I was then asked to come in for a face to face. There was a meet and greet with the other candidates and management. After introducing yourself there is shadowing of a current employee for about 20 minutes. After shadowing an employee there was the actual interview that consisted of me and two managers. The continued with the behavior based interview questions.

I applied online – interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Calif City, CA) in February 2015.
Recruiter seemed uninterested and had no personality. Hard to connect with - like I was talking to a wall. Not interactive probably because recruiter had no concept what the job entailed but I thought they were supposed to be a people person. Also clueless about the office where position was located. With a recruiter like this no way you're getting an offer. Makes me wonder if a position was really available - maybe they were just fishing!!! I probably would have a better interview process at a grocery store! Progressive Ins. gives the best interviews probably because that company is based on liking people.

I applied online. The process took 2+ months – interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group in January 2015.
I applied for position online in January was contacted by recruiter via email in beginning of March. I had to take 3 tests to move forward in the process. First test had about 30 traits you had to select to describe yourself. Then the same traits others would say to describe you. I was very surprised to see "Attractive" and "Popular" as traits necessary to do this job. The other tests were very relevant for competencies needed for this position. I was contacted via email a week later for a phone interview. The interviewer was great to talk to, gave information about the job and asked me various questions about my qualifications which aligned perfectly to what they were looking for. The recruiter let me know that I would be moving on to the next part of the hiring process and would be contacted within a week to set up the next interview. After two weeks, I didn't hear back so I decided to email the recruiter. He said they were behind and that I was still considered for the position. Another week went by and nothing. I called the recruiter and he said that I was still a candidate and assured me that i would be moving forward with the process. At this point I don't want to work for this company, I have been strung along with no additional interview. If they didn't want to hire me at least be professional and upfront or send me an email that says that They have decided to hire another candidate. I have since retracted my application, very unprofessional and ineffective recruiting process. I didn't' get an offer, get declined an offer I retracted my application.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks – interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Houston, TX).
Has been a quick process so far. Applied online and received an email within a week wanting to set up a phone interview. After conducting a phone interview, two assessment tests were given. After passing the tests I was again contacted by email letting me know that a face to face interview would be set up by a hiring manager. I was contacted by phone by a manager to set up a face to face. All of this took about two weeks. So far everyone has been very polite and professional. I am looking forward to my interview and joining their team. Good luck!

I applied through other source. The process took 1 day – interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group (Seattle, WA) in November 2014.
Behavior-based panel interview. "Tell us about a time you_________" As usual for this type of interview, the more specific your answer is, the better. Come prepared with at least 6 different "glory stories" you can use to show your competence in areas like customer service, process improvement, teamwork, etc... For external hires a recruiter phone screen and personality test start the process, moving to the panel interview. If they ask you to job shadow someone after the interview that's a good sign. Even though this employer is relaxed-dress, DO wear full business professional attire for the interview. Watch for questions designed to suss out how much of a pain you might be to work with. Negative comments about prior/current work teams should be spun very carefully and only if you can use it to show how you made things better.
