Sales Associate/Cashier Interview

Sales Associate/Cashier
Mission Viejo, CA

The process took 5 days - interviewed at Forever 21.

Interview Details – I applied on a paper application, and two days later they called me in for my first interview! It was a group interview, about 10 girls and 1 guy, the assistant manager was interviewing. It was a quick 15 minute interview, we started by introducing ourselves, hobbies, etc and then he asked basic questions like strengths and weaknesses, what can you contribute to forever 21, etc. I noticed a lot of the girls were a little underdressed, and copied each other's answers. He called me back 24 hours later for a second interview with the manager the next day.

The second interview was one on one, very fast about 10 minutes. The manager was really nice and asked the same questions, asked my availability.

I just got a call this morning and they offered me a position.

Business Analyst Interview

Business Analyst
Los Angeles, CA

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Forever 21.

Interview Details – 1st interview was good. Short, straight to the point. My second interview got cancelled because the manager "forgot" I was on his calendar (I had already taken time off work). They rescheduled and did not give me an option as to when my interview was saying "it was their only free time for over a month". The second interview started half an hour late & was the manager talking and not really asking any questions.

Interview Question – Rate your Excel skill on a scale of 1 - 10.   View Answer

Production Coordinator Interview

Production Coordinator
Los Angeles, CA

I applied online and the process took 1+ week - interviewed at Forever 21.

Interview Details – They have 4 people interview you at the same time, which I'm 99% sure they do it as a scare tactic, which didn't work; It just makes the entire interview inefficient. 3 out of the 4 people asked questions that were completely irrelevant to the position, which also showed that they were in there, just because, and really didn't have any idea what they were talking about.

Sales Associate Interview

I applied in-person and interviewed at Forever 21.

Interview Details – I was shopping at the store when I noticed they were having a hiring event (basically a manager at a fold up table in the front of the store with applications). I filled out an application and she asked me a couple questions about my previous work experience. I got a call later that day to come into the store for a group interview. There were about six of us in a circle going around answering the manager's questions (nothing tricky). Everyone in my group got the job (except one girl who was late). Dress cute and smile.

Interview Question – How important is customer service?   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – No negotiation, minimum wage.

Project Coordinator Interview

Project Coordinator
Los Angeles, CA

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Forever 21.

Interview Details – I found the job posting online and it said to send my resume directly to a recruiter. I was contacted within 24 hours and scheduled an interview for 3 days later. I actually skipped the process of meeting with a HR Recruiter and went straight to the hiring manager of the department.
The first in person interview was very basic and very easy. They only asked basic questions you'll find on the most commonly asked questions list. I got called for a second interview the very next day where I met with both the manager of the department and the VP. The VP could not speak English at all so the manager translated. They asked me very personal questions like "do you live with your parents?," "did you grow up with both your parents?," and "how's your health? Are you healthy?."
After the second interview, I got a call the next day with an offer.

Interview Question – The most unexpected was when the VP asked me very personal questions.   Answer Question

Accounting Department Interview

Accounting Department
Los Angeles, CA

I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Forever 21.

Interview Details – Their HR Process focuses (at least for the online applicants) on matching key words from your inputted resume and their set of key words. They REALLY REALLY REALLY want you to tell them that "You will ASK QUESTIONS and not rely on your own judgement, ALWAYS ALWAYS tell them that you will ask your supervisor first when learning the job!!!" that is if you want to work for this severely sophomoric atmosphered headquarters.

Interview Question – Is it it necessary for you to be friends with the people you work with?   View Answer

Negotiation Details – My advice is to ask for what your position/experience is worth. They will give it to you. Also, make sure that you have clear job expectations with your direct supervisor, so that there is no confusion during your 3 month review.
