    Sales Associate Interview

    Application

I applied online – interviewed at Forever 21 (New York, NY) in March 2015.

    Interview

The interview process was very laidback and chill. It was a group interview with 3 people including myself. The hiring manager only asked three questions: what do we think customer service is? Why forever 21? How would we describe ourselves? Be sure to be yourself and be polite. The other two applicants had experience whereas I didn't but I didn't let that discourage me.

    Sales Associate Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 3 daysinterviewed at Forever 21 (Brooklyn, NY) in August 2014.

    Interview

I looked online to see when Forever 21 were having their job fairs in my area. The day of the job fair I went and there was A LOT or people there. We all filled out an application and then waited on line to be interviewed. The manager was calling 3 people from the line to do a group interview and the assistant manager would call one person from the line to do a 1:1 interview ( so the line went by pretty fast ) I ended up doing a group interview with two other people and I stood out really well. The manager was very nice and told me to come back the day after next with my information. That day I brought in my information and filled out documents and had a tour of the store as well as the other people who got hired ( it was many of us who got hired)

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took a weekinterviewed at Forever 21 (New York, NY) in July 2014.

    Interview

I went to a job fair at the Times Square location. I got there a little after 8 (it was between 8 and 11am) and they had everyone wait on a line on the lower level by the shoe department and then gave us an application to fill out. The assistant manager would take about 5-8 people at a time for an interview, so be sure to be really outgoing so that you're noticed! They asked the typical questions like why do you wanna work here? describe your style? tell me about yourself, etc. at the end she told us that we should hear back within a week and don't call them/go back to the store to see if you got hired or not. After the one week waiting period you're eligible to apply again.

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 4 daysinterviewed at Forever 21 (New York, NY).

    Interview

I went to an open house for their Times Square location at about 8am on morning. There were about 30 people in line ahead of me. We were given an application to fill out and then we held on to them until it was our turn to meet with a manager type person. It was a short group interview- whats your name, your experience and why do you want to work for this company. The day after, I was called about a second interview. It was also a group interview but this time it took place in an office. We were asked to say a little about yourself, and a lot of customer service related questions. I was expecting a question or two about the love of fashion but that never came up, so i suggest mentioning your love of fashion when you talk about yourself. They said they would call the following day if an offer was extended. No offer was extended.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at Forever 21 (New York, NY) in August 2013.

    Interview

I filled out an application form online and received a call from the Field Manager the very next morning. He was very pleased with my résumé and fixed up an appointment for 2 days later. Since I wasn't in town, I called him back to reschedule the appointment, which he readily did. He gave me accurate directions down to which form of public transport to use at which stops/ stations. Once I arrived he made me feel welcome with a nice comment on my attire and then we spoke for a half hour or so on my qualifications and experience. After that I had a detailed floor walk and a 40 minute "pick 3 complete ensembles" activity which all Forever 21 interviewees go through. He then walked me to the door and said I'd hear from him soon.

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took a weekinterviewed at Forever 21 (New York, NY) in April 2013.

    Interview

Well I went to an open interview and we were handed applications to fill out on the spot, (so make sure you have a working pen and something to press on.) The manger walked around and put us into lines of 15. I was in the first 15 group and about 5 minutes later we were taken to a corner in the store where we were interviewed. The person that interviewed us was the assistant manger on the floor; he was really friendly. He asked us questions such as: "what is your first name and last initial", "have you worked before or currently working, if so where and what do you do?" and "one fun fact about you." All you have to really do is show that you are a fun person to work with, make sure to smile, but not too much. That day later I got a call for a second interview for the next day. I went and there was still about 12-15 people, but this time we were taken to the back of the store were we sat down and was interview by a different assistant manger. Just like the first interview we all got a chance to answer the questions, which were: "Tell me your first name" "something I should know about you" "Who is your favorite designer? Or your favorite famous person that you like their style and why?" "Have you worked in retail before?" The interview lasted for about 10 minutes and she said that if you were offer the job aspect a call by Wednesday. She was nice but not as nice as the first person who I got interviewed by.

    Application

I applied through other source. The process took 1 dayinterviewed at Forever 21 (New York, NY) in March 2013.

    Interview

I already sent in my resume so I went to the interview empty handed. I was supposed to have an interview with a manager but she was busy with someone else so I was interviewed by another manager. While I was waiting for him to print out the application, he asked another co-manager if the co-manager could interview me since he was busy. It was a bit awkward because I was standing there while the co-manager was whispering to the other "Do you want to interview her?" and the reply was "No". I sat down near the shoe section to fill out the application and then was interviewed. I was asked about previous job experiences, why I wanted to work for Forever 21, what my favourite fashion designer was, and he told me the hours of the store (he warned that I would have to work odd hours like 10pm - 7 am if I was accepted).

Was only asked 2 questions. It was fun and laid back. I went into the store one day and asked if they were hiring, they were so I filled out the application ASAP then handed it back a few minutes later. I was called the next day for an interview on the following day. The manager was nice and funny, made everyone laugh so you didn't feel nervous at all (was a group interview)

    Application

The process took 1 dayinterviewed at Forever 21 (New York, NY) in June 2012.

    Interview

I went to an open call. The line was huge. When I arrived, I noticed everyone had an application. So I went inside and ask one of the staff for an application. A couple of minutes later a staff tells me we cannot interview you because you are too casually dressed but you are welcome to shop. I told her I really want to work here & how did a manager determined I was too casually dressed. Can I speak to her? She walked back in the store and gave me an application & said give it to me once your done. I of course did not. She for some reason did not like me. So I waited on line for my shot at an interview because there was so many people. Some were dressed similar to me, other corporate and others were dressed styish. Anyways, I got an interview. They ask why forever 21? Name a designer? We played a brief listening game, we did all of this while competing with loud store music! Unprofessional yet they want to critique how I was dressed. Irony! Anyways, I was so frustrated with this question because he insisted he wanted designers. I told him the truth Forever 21 is a household name. Its caters to fashionista on a budget so why the hell are we talking about Michael Kors, Armani, Louis Vuitton when Forever 21 is not even in the same effin league as these designers. Pretentious much! I was a little too outspoken & honest. I did not name a designer instead I said I like Rihanna's style because she is a rebel & not afraid to take risks. Which foreshadowed exactly my personality LOL. I was myself & I even strut as I walked out the store like a boss. I doubt I will get a call back but the hell with them! Basically, they want someone who lives & dies for fashion although you work at a basic store like forever 21. Whatever happen to wanting a job to have fun, make friends and make some extra cash!
