I applied through college or university – interviewed at Gallup in December 2014.

Online application that includes an assessment. True/false, multiple choice, on-a-scale-of-one-to-ten questions. Rapid fire. Lots of repetition. The assessment is stressful because you feel like you keep repeating yourself and because many of their questions are simply hard to answer. They'll ask you something conditional like "If you found yourself having to discipline someone you manager would you A: be harsh B: Look for someone else to do it C: Avoid it", obviously your answer might not be one of those three.

I got passed the online and did the 1st round, which is a phone interview with similar types of questions. Also sort of uncomfortable to go through because you feel like you're speaking with someone who's taking a survey, only this survey actually matters. Similar set of questions. Answer quickly.

Gallup has a unique three part interview process. You need to get through the part 1 talent assessment when you apply before they will extend you a phone interview. The Part 1 assessment matches your personality and work ethic to the corporate culture, so once your part 1 assessment is scored they will extend you part 2 (the phone interview) if you've done well enough to meet their talent profile. The initial phone interview is more or less a very in depth version of the part 1 talent assessment, with a variety of questions designed to see how you would react or behave in given situations or on past experiences. If you make it past this stage, they will get you to the technology part of the interview, which will go well if your technology skills and interests align with the position they are looking to fill and you demonstrate that during the interview.

Just passed the first interview, about to have second interview today. Similar to what everybody said here. Except, the interviewer was quite nice. Some of the questions were ambiguous, but I think they were designed that way. Some of the questions were asked many times in different ways like "how do you think people should be compensated".

Same as other posts. I applied for the branch in Thailand but the person who contacted me was in Singapore. Although my phone interview was in Thai, the questions are the same but poorly translated. Still waiting for their respond about the interview.

The phone interview and online assessment were all behavioral questions. pretty simple. They should be taken seriously though, this is a large part of your interview process for gallup video interview in 20 minutes!! They will ask you a lot of questions that seem the same. Keep stories prepared like for any interview. Examples of difficult situations you've overcome, working with a team etc. will be helpful!

I applied online and took a personality test. Immediately I was notified that I was not a good fit for certain jobs but recommended to apply for other specific jobs that matched my personality test. Then I had two long phone interviews, about 30-45 minutes each. The questions had nothing to do with my work experience. Instead, the questions were rapid-fire and unexpected, such as "would you rather" and "on a scale of 1-5" but there was no room for explanation.

I attended a business development workshop, then applied for a client development role in Chicago. I had two phone interviews but have not heard back from them yet. Both interviews were behavioral, pretty much like what all the others have said on this site. Very professional process.

Apply online and took about 2 week - ask me to do the online behavior assessment - one 1 week later, set up the phone interview.

The phone interview is the most strangest interview so far. They keep repeating the similar questions in the previous assessment like: are you a accountable people? Are you known with your responsibility? And after I said yes, they will ask me to give examples... and more examples for most of the questions. If you are going to have a phone interview at Gallup, please make sure you have enough examples.
