    Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ weekinterviewed at GoDaddy in January 2015.

    Interview

I applied online, and after about a week I received a phone call. The recruiter asked me some basic questions to make sure that I had basic knowledge of the internet and what it is that GoDaddy does. He asked me to name web browsers, and asked me to name search engines. He also asked me if I knew what a domain is and to provide an example of one.

After answering those questions successfully, we set up an interview for the next day. I was emailed a conformation letter with an attachment that provided an overview of the benefits offered.

I got to the building a little early, and went ahead and set up with security. You'll need to provide an ID and to take a picture for your temp badge. My interviewer came to pick me up from the lobby and took me on a tour of the Tempe location before getting down to the interview.

I was asked to talk about something I had taught myself in the last six months, and then the typical interview questions, like, "Tell me about a time you resolved an issue for an unhappy customer." He also brought up the company's core values and asked some questions about how I could relate to them.

I dressed business casual, but the employees were all dressed casual.

We talked a bit more about the job, and he gave me the option to ask my own questions.

When the interview came to a close, he walked me out and told me that he would be in touch within the week.

I got home and began typing up my thank you letter, emphasizing my excitement about working for GoDaddy. Within minutes of sending it, I received a call from my recruiter informing me that he'd like to offer me a position. I was told I would recieve an offer letter via email and to esign it. As it stands, I am due to begin training in March.

The entire process was simple and the interview was relaxed. 10/10 would recommend based off the quick and easy application and interview process.

    Application

I applied through other source – interviewed at GoDaddy (Gilbert, AZ).

    Interview

I was able to go to a hiring event that you had to be invited to by a current employee. I interviewed for their outbound sales department, but was hired in to inbound technical support. The recruiter was awesome and professional at the same time. I got hired in one interview with him. I also needed to complete a computer test to make sure I knew the basics like how to copy and paste and how many words per minute I could type, etc.

    Negotiation

I did not negotiate the salary as every inbound technical support rep is paid the same and it's non negotiable.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a weekinterviewed at GoDaddy in December 2014.

    Interview

I applied online then received a phone call the next day saying they were impressed with my resume and wanted me to take an assessment which was then emailed to me. I took the online assessment which had your basic personality questions but also a part where simulated calls came in and you had to take their information and input it into a system and type quick as it was timed. I received an email the next day setting up a phone interview. They called and during the phone interview asked me questions like, "do you know what ISP stands for" (Internet Service Provider) "what is an example of one" (Cox), "Can you give me an example of a internet browser" (Firefox), "what is a search engine" (Google), "what is hosting" (where you rent space to publish your website), "what is a URL" (the entire web address of a site), what is a "domain" (the part in a URL that distinguishes a business or website specifically). They also asked why I wanted to work for them and what would make me a good fit and where I would ultimately like to end up there. They liked my answers and asked me to come in for a final interview but I had to tell them the next day (day before in person interview) that I have accepted another job offer. Seems like a great company but I had too good of a job offer somewhere else.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at GoDaddy in December 2014.

    Interview

I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter for an initial interview. We spent about 15 minutes on the phone having a pleasant conversation about my interest in GoDaddy and answering some preliminary questions about how the internet works. I was then invited to take a test online to see how I handled a phone conversation with some clients using a simulation of their software. After passing I was contacted for an on site interview. The on site consisted of a tour of the facility and a pretty standard panel of questions. Overall a good experience with a company looks like it would be fun work environment.

    Interview Questions

    Reasons for Declining

The position was for a 2nd shift which starts mid-day and I could not make it work with family obligations.

I filled out the application twice because i was denied the first time. Second time around, i got an email confirmation the next day saying i would be a good candidate and they scheduled a phone interview. They made me tell them about myself, did i know what the job was all about. What do i know about the position, why i want to work at godaddy, and my previous job/experience. Then he went over what they pay and the history about the company. Then, he told me i will get an email if they were interested in continuing the hiring process. I heard back two weeks later for a face to face interview.

    Application

I applied online – interviewed at GoDaddy (Tempe, AZ).

    Interview

I completed an application online as well as a basic skills test. Received an email asking to set up a phone interview. I completed that and then about two days later, I received another call asking to come in for a formal interview. It went really well. I suggest you read up on the company a little bit before the interview. They will ask questions about what you know. A few days later, I received an email with an offer. I accepted. BACKGROUND CHECK TAKES FOREVER!! Was in limbo for about a month and a half before I got a call with my start date. (This is very common with this company)

    Interview Questions

    • They will ask you what a "domain name is" (name of your website) what an "ISP" is (Internet Service Provider), What "hosting is" (renting your space on the internet) things like that. Not too many difficult questions.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

Not much negotiating. Pay is $15 per hour plus commissions plus full paid benefits. Take it or leave it. I took it.
