I interviewed online. The process took 2 months - interviewed at Goldman Sachs in March 2014.

    Interview Details

The first day of interviews I had four 30-minute interviews. They asked the typical "Tell me about yourself". They also asked for general questions such as "Why GS?" and "Why Operations". They then asked for specific examples relating to Operations, such as examples of improving a process, or compliance/auditing, etc. They got back to me fairly quickly and I had my second round interviews a week later. The format was the same, consisting with four 30-minute interviews with very similar questions.

The recruiter asked for my salary expectations in the first round of interviews and details about any other processes/offers; I was told this is because GS does not negotiate salaries and once they extend an offer, you have to accept or decline without going back and forth on salary negotiations.

I interviewed through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Goldman Sachs in November 2013.

    Interview Details

This was one of the most depressing interviews I have ever had.

It consisted of three interviews with two people in each all back to back. Each of the interviewers seemed worn out and miserable. Each of them acted as if they did not want to be there. Immediately after a few minutes of talking to the first interviewer I knew that this was not the place or job for me.

The questions seemed extremely specific for the experience desired in the position (at lease 2 years).

The interview experience overall felt very negative from my end and I am happy to say I did not receive an offer. I cannot say as to whether this was me or them, but I can say that if the people that interviewed me are the same people that I would have to work with day to day, this is a job to steer clear of.

    Interview Details

Did the phone interview, went really well. Got an email few days later for super day at the ops headquarters in jersey city. The recruiters were very helpful. The email included a list of 3 opportunities I was being considered for. I was very well prepared, interviewers said I was over qualified for the positions. 3 30 min interviews. Mostly behavioral questions. Contacted the recruiter after waiting for 3 weeks. Got a call on the 4th week and didn't get an offer

I interviewed through a recruiter. The process took 3 months - interviewed at Goldman Sachs in December 2013.

    Interview Details

The interview was about an hour long. I interviewed with three people, the first was two on one and the second was one on one. Mainly behavioral questions a few technical. The first interview was harder for me but the second was very good, the lady was friendly and it turned into a conversation rather than just an interview. My advice is try not to be be too nervous. They are very interested in persons who can work well in teams.
