    Guardsmark has a slow and thorough process. Several levels of review are required to secure the job and there is very little communication in between time. Local management may like a candidate but lack the authority to execute on the hire which can be frustrating. But after enough time things eventually roll around. Make sure your background is squeaky clean. The drug test is no job, there can be no gaps in your employment and every reference and previous employer will be contacted...not too mention the MMPI.

    Application process is something serious I'll say that much, I'm used to taking a drug test pre employment but they have a pretty outrageous process overall. poly graph, a reference method that requires your references to fill out paper work, 600 question psych test etc. on top of the 35-40 page application. Personally by the time I realized how much non sense was needed to be completed I lost interest 100% 10 dollars an hour just didn't seem fit.

    • psych test questions regarding sex life. In my opinion that's personal and I shouldn't be required to answer those types of questions. They have nothing to do with working security or one's mental stability, and I'm not applying for porn.   Answer Question

    After a lot of research on the company, I feel it's not for everyone. Taking a weekend to think it over, I came to the conclusion that I'd rather keep looking for a better fit opportunity. Just my opinion though, could be the perfect fit for many.

    Length and detailed 45 page application will check it out to the nth degree. Do not bother applying if you have any criminal record, a bankruptcy or if you have even tried drugs. Many interviews expect it to take up to 3 months. Expect to meet senior management and people not directly in your areas of expertese

    ok well i applied did all my paperwork back ground test finger prints payed for it the office said they would call me back in a week to two weeksi did all my work about 2 weeks befor some pepole i know but they got there jobs befor me i went over a coupel of weeks later found out that they had not recived my finger prints or back ground check and they didnt call to find out what happen it must have gotten lost and no one said any thing i had to re do all the paper work cuz it was now a new year and re do my background check and finger prints it took about 2-3 months in total

    Lengthy interview process. I was called back multiple times and had to interview with everybody and their brother before I was hired. I had almost given up on getting the job. I had to take an IQ test and a polygraph test.
