I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Guess?.

I was referred for an assistant position and the recruiter called me within 24 hours. We set up a Skype interview and the next day, she emailed me to set up an in person interview. When I arrived at their corporate office, the interviewers were half an hour late. When interviewing me, the hiring manager did not seem interested and her colleague proceeded to read out my resume, line by line, only to have me confirm that every word was true. I feel that the hiring managers would have greatly benefited from an interviewing workshop or something of the sort.

    I applied in-person – interviewed at Guess?.

    Interview Details

The interview was a group interview. The interview was very informal and there were about 10 of us who sat through a presentation and then were asked questions as a group. They opened the floor for candidates to try to perform a sales pitch based on clothes that they had sitting on a rack in the interview room.

Went in the flagship store and asked for an application from the hiring manager. He was so nice too. I filled in the application and gave it in the next day. Before I knew it, I was asked to come in for an interview. It went okay, it was a group interview. The second time they called I was so surprised I was asked to come in again. Still no offer I'm still in the waiting game. But remember to follow up

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at Guess? in August 2012.

    Interview Details

I was contacted by a Regional Manager who I had a thorough phone interview with. Then I had a thorough (and typical) interview with HR. The Regional stayed in contact with me and both said that they were very interested in me and wanted to have a face to face interview and compare me with one other candidate. 2 weeks went by and they finally returned my call saying that they weren't going to interview me but instead they hired they other candidate.

I thought that I was the best in the group interview, however i neer got a call back so I called them repetitively and they kept giving excuses that there were too many events going on so they couldn't contact their interviewers. Horrible.

I applied in-person. The process took 3 daysinterviewed at Guess? in June 2011.

Most places I apply to either take forever to call you back, or after the interview take forever and/ or sometimes never to call you back.

I turned in my application to the store on paper after asking for the application all in the same day, and the next day someone called to set up an interview for a week later.

The interview was held outside of the store, at a table in the Shops of Wailea. The first thing she did was ask me if I was still in school, implying that I look really young.

First off she asked, do you like Guess?, very casually, and so I replied "Of course!" and how they are my style, but that was it, expecting that they would ask 'Why am I applying to Guess' later in the interview. I never got another chance to express my passion and desire to work there, so maybe that's what impeded my chances. I have no retail experience, and she asked about my last job and responsibilities. She asked a few behavioral and situational questions, and she even asked, "How long would it be before you greet someone in the store?"

At the end of the interview she told me that she felt it was a very good interview and she said she felt it went really well.

The next day they called to say they hired another person. Although I didn't get the job I was appreciative they called me back so soon to let me know. Some companies here are so rude and unprofessional. Others would say they would call you to let you know their decision, but they all just leave you hanging, not giving you the courtesy to let you know they went in another direction.

At first I thought they didn't hire me because they thought I was too young. I called to ask and the answerer told me since they didn't interview they didn't know, but that it must have been to no fault of mine, and that I was probably ideal as well, just a conflict of availability, or sales experience or not.

Later, when I went shopping there one day, and there working was a new girl, ironically someone my age that I went to school with for years with.

I applied online. The process took a dayinterviewed at Guess? in March 2011.

    Interview Details

After seeing an opening on-line for Guess in the mall, I sent my resume to the appropriate e-mail as listed on-line. The next few days I got a call to set up an interview. I met with (who I thought was the store manager), the Co-Manager. She asked me to fill out an application and agree to a background check. She interviewed me in the mall. She asked the basic questions, what do you know about Guess.. tell me about yourself..., tell me about a time when..., how would you handle... Then she asked if I had any questions. After asking my questions, she explained she was the co-manager and the store manager was off and wouldn't be back for a few days. She told me she would talk to the store manager and if they decide to go further I would be invited for a second interview. She also told me there were 3 different levels of management, assistant managers, a co-manager, and a store manager. The store environment was quiet, no customers, and neatly merchandised. The interviewer wore a mini skirt, knee boots, and a lace shirt. I may have been dressed wrong because I haven't gotten a call back, I wore a black suit, white shirt.
