I applied online. The process took 5 daysinterviewed at Hallmark in December 2014.

    Interview Details

The interview, via the telephone, was scheduled after I completed the application process. On the morning of the interview, I received a call from a Blocked number. The interviewer identified himself as the interviewer for Hallmark then instructed me to speak slowly in order for him to type my replies to his questions. He basically repeated questions from the questions from the web application. He explained what would happen next in the interview process. It took about 10 minutes tops.

I applied online. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at Hallmark.

    Interview Details

I applied online in February and was called in March for one interview, then in April for the second interview, and now we are going into May and I still never heard back from the person who interviewed me three times and took three hours of my life away without any feedback or follow up email!!! The district manager in the area seems extremely disorganized and not very proactive at all. I started the interview process with a positive Idea of Hallmark and left with a very negative idea.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Hallmark in September 2013.

    Interview Details

Applied online through their website after receiving an email from them about an opening in my local area. Received another email a week later inviting me to continue in the hiring process with a 15 minute phone interview. Followed the link to self-schedule a time to be called and there were no times available. Tried again the following day and chose the first date and time available which was late afternoon a week later. Received another email confirming the date and time of my phone interview.
Interviewer called at the exact time scheduled and you have exactly 15 minutes for your interview. The position was described to me and I had to reiterate what was said to be sure I understood everything involved with the position. Was asked about availability, why I want this position with Hallmark, past/current work experience, and where do I see myself two years. Fairly straightforward. Received another email directly after the interview asking me to provide feedback on the interview and stating that I would hear from them in 3-5 days.
Received another email 2 days later stating that they are pursuing other candidates whose qualifications more closely meet the requirements of this position and to feel free to continue applying on the website.

I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Hallmark in May 2013.

    Interview Details

I received a call about two weeks after I handed in the application in store, along with my resume. I arrived early, and had to wait for the two interviewers to come out. One was a general manager, the other was the store manager. We walked to the food court where the interview was held. It was a casual interview, and I was told I would receive a call if I got the job.

I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Hallmark in February 2013.

    Interview Details

I applied in person and was asked a few simple pre-interview questions just after I handed in the application. It took a little less than 3 weeks to receive and interview. The interview process was handled by two managers and they were about 45 minutes each. The questions varied from "Name a time you exceeded a customers expectations?", "Name a time where a customer had a bad experience and you had to help them out?", " Where do you see yourself in 5 years?", "What does the Hallmark Brand mean to you?" I then after was asked to take a bubble test that was about 185 questions, and read two small booklets that we're given to me before taking this test. This interview really forced me to think on a different level than I normally need to for a typical interview.

    Interview Questions
    • He handed me a teddy bear from the store and asked me to role play and to sell it to him. He said he was looking for a specific way of selling it and it put me under an extreme amount of pressure. - "Name a time where your manager has coached you through something you weren't doing correctly, and explain the process to both went through to me step by step, and tell me what you got from the experience and how the coaching helped you?"   View Answer
