I applied through an employee referral and interviewed at Hewlett-Packard.

Interview Details – Really need a connection inside to pull you through the process. Otherwise it is standard interview process.

Interview Question – Nothing particularly difficult. It pays to take the offensive with strong questions of the interviewer.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Pretty easy - offer and counter offer and done.

Very Easy Interview

Director Interview

Anonymous Employee

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 5 months - interviewed at Hewlett-Packard in February 2011.

Interview Details – Very fast from initial contact to actual interview. Once the interview was over (which I thought went very well), it took a very long time (3+ months) to even hear get a response to an email or phone call. I had actually written these folks off a rude and uninterested when they came back like gangbusters. I should have relied on my initial impression.

Interview Question – None. However, I asked some VERY specific questions during the process, and in turn received some precise and specific answers. After I started, I learned reality bore little resemblance to these answers. I politely asked about this. "Oh, well, we knew what kind of answers would get you here, so we gave you those answers to make sure you came here. We really wanted you to work here."   Answer Question
