Project Manager at Hewlett-Packard

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Tallahassee, FL Apr 2011 – Reviewed Sep 15, 2012

Interview Details – I was originally hired by EDS years ago. I submitted my resume on line over a weekend and was contacted the Monday after that for an interview and was hired. For HP, when I was promoted to Project Manager, the account actually called me into the office and asked me to take the position. The only interview I did was with the recruiter who basically determines if you meet the basic requirements for the position. Normally, if you pass that interview, the account will then conduct it's own interview and determine if they want to hire you. It's pretty straight forward.

Interview Question – There wasn't one.   Answer Question

Project Manager at Hewlett-Packard

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Plano, TX Feb 2011 – Reviewed Apr 25, 2012

Interview Details – Internal interview with boss who I expressed an interest in creating the job position for the group. She listened to what I said then asked several peers of higher job level if I was capable. However, it took her 2 - 3 months to come back to me with the proposal.

Negotiation Details – Tried to negotiate a job movement up. Instead, I got a lateral movement. No, salary increase either. I suggest that it is discussed at the first time to set the expectations.

Customer Project Program Manager V at Hewlett-Packard

No Offer – Interviewed in Falls Church, VA Apr 2011 – Reviewed Mar 19, 2012

Interview Details – The process wasn't difficult, but was very frustrating. HP would call and say they were interested, then it could be weeks before I would hear from them again. Phone calls were rarely returned. The interview was straightforward, very skills and experienced based. Very little information on job duties, customer or company expectations was given. I couldn't get an answer if the position was currently vacant; it appeared they were getting resumes to put on a bid instead of filling a position. There were very few answers to my questions, weather it was about benefits or program organization. Afterward HR told me they were interested. As time went on communications got further apart. I wrote them off.

Interview Question – Weren't any hard questions, it was mostly about experiences   View Answer
