    Interview

Easy. 1:1 with the store manager. All normal questions. She went into a little about the religious culture of the company (the CEO prays before any meeting at headquarters), which should have been a red flag!

    Interview

Awkward for a retail job. More emphasis placed on skills for a cashier sales clerk position. It felt fake. Even though Hobby Lobby is considered christian it was never mentioned.

I applied in-person. The process took 1 dayinterviewed at Hobby Lobby (Schenectady, NY) in June 2015.

    Interview

It was a job fair. I sat down with one manager who talked for about 5 minutes, asking why I chose the company and why I left my previous job. I got a second interview immediately. We talked about the same things, just more in depth. Everyone was very friendly.

Easy, it really depends on your manager. If you are being referred by someone who already works there, its very simple. I don't even remember them asking me questions, I just took a simple math test.

    Associate Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1 dayinterviewed at Hobby Lobby (San Diego, CA) in April 2015.

    Interview

Mass hiring, speedy individual interviews, mass group orientation. You must pass a math test that includes percentages, working with discounts, and other general retail math needs without a calculator. If you don't get at least 8 questions correct then you will not be interviewed. My interviewer barely even looked at my resume, they only cared if I was available everyday to work.

    Interview

It was maybe 10-15 minutes. Basic interview questions with a few changes to some basic questions. Could as the manager questions about the job. Then just small talk to get to know me. And telling me what the CEO, and the family that owns Hobby Lobby, represent and what they do to give back to the community.

    Interview

They were fairly desperate for help, so the interview went quickly due to my level of skills and knowledge. In retrospect, I should have asked THEM more questions about overall corporate understanding of such things as art materials and supplies, and art conservation and history.
