I applied online and the process took 1+ week - interviewed at Hollister Co. in November 2013.
Interview Details – Interview was in a group setting. Hollister co. managers very particular on appearance and set style for employees. Manager was nice but very young. I observed unprofessional behavior of some of the employees inside of the store and the managers seem a little too laid back on behavior but very strict on appearance (natural hair color, no artificial nails, clear or no nail polish, clean and neat appearance)
Interview Question –
Why do you want to work with this company?
What about fashion influences you? Answer Question
Reason for Declining – Offered another position with another company
I applied in-person and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Hollister Co. in November 2013.
Interview Details – I went inside the store and asked if they were hiring. They said they are always looking for new hires, so I filled out an application and scheduled an interview for that same week. The interviews are very laid back and in a group setting. It's you, other applicants, and the store manager. They ask a few questions about yourself, why you like/want to work with their brand, and ask about diversity. At the end, they talk about look policy and ask you to recite the tag line, "Hey! How's it going?"
Interview Question – Why is diversity important in our store setting/workplace? Answer Question

Very Easy Interview
I applied through a recruiter and the process took 5 days - interviewed at Hollister Co. in October 2013.
Interview Details – Very easy. About 5-6 questions about your personality (list cool, laid back, fun, outgoing, friendly, energetic, ect), what you like about the store, what type of clothes they are selling, its theme and the rules on the rulebook you should read when registering online for position.
Interview Question – To define "diversity". So look it up before going to an interview! :) Answer Question
Negotiation Details – I was approached three times working for their company and I finally agreed. I find that it is easier to get a job there when being approached by a manager rather than asking physically for a job there.
I applied through a recruiter and the process took 6 days - interviewed at Hollister Co..
Interview Details – I was shopping in the store and the manager asked if I was looking for anything part time. She then encouraged me to apply. She gave me a code to access the application website online and wrote my name down. I went in for the group interview a few days later. It was just me and another guy.
Interview Question – The most important question was the diversity question! What does diversity mean to you? Why is it important in the work place? View Answer

Very Easy Interview
I applied through a recruiter and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Hollister Co..
Interview Details – Apply within the store and fill out rest of application online. Small group interview with questions about how you would describe yourself and what diversity means to you.
I applied online and the process took 3 days - interviewed at Hollister Co. in October 2013.
Interview Details – I was scouted for Abercrombie twice but could only apply to Hollister since I was 17. I filled out an online application and went to a group interview the following week. I was really nervous and uncomfortable despite their efforts to create a "relax" and "laid-back" environment. I was up for the same position against one other girl and she clearly had the hollister "look" more than I did...as in blonde surfer hair, minimal makeup, and head to toe hollister. As opposed to Abercrombie, Hollister seeks younger, more carefree looking "models" for these positions. I would suggest applying for this position only if you have the Cali beach look.
Interview Question – What does diversity mean to you? Answer Question

Very Easy Interview
I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Hollister Co..
Interview Details – Applied online then was called in for a group interview of about 10 other applicants and 2 managers. Took turns answering various behavioral questions. Process took about a month from the time I applied online to the time I got a job offer by phone.
Interview Question – I'm not good at recalling specific events so be prepared for questions that are like...give an example of a time when you did not get along with an employee and how did you resolve it...or name a time that is failed. Also visit their website and familiarize yourself with the company and especially diversity (what it is, why it's important in the workplace, etc.) Answer Question
Negotiation Details – No negotiations...only way to move up in hollister is if you have a degree and apply as a MIT. Other than that don't expect any significant pay raises.
I applied through a recruiter and interviewed at Hollister Co..
Interview Details – They first decided based on looks if you should be a floor model or PT. They then ask basic questions like comparing yourself to an animal or your past work experience. At that point, the interview is over and they call back within a couple of days to tell you if you got the job or not.
Interview Question – If you were an animal, what would you be? Answer Question
