Interview Details – Filled out an online application. Three days later received an email that said i was going to be receiving a call. I received the call and a lady asked me some Yes or No questions and gave me some times to choose from to go in for my 1 on 1 interview. The 1 on 1 interview was short but successful, the lady said she would be giving me a call back and she did within a week and said " We would like to extend the job opportunity to you if you are still interested" . Once i said yes, she told me to come in to fill out the background check information paper and to go take a drug test, and she would call to let me know when orientation will begin.
Interview Question – How would you respond if a customer asked you about a product you knew little or nothing about. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – No.

Interview Details – Interview is pretty straight foward. Run of the mill situational "tell me about a time" type questions. They just want to know how you would or how have you handled stress, mad customers, and boss breathing down your neck. It can take a while for them to call you back but once they do, it moves fairly quickly. Within a couple of weeks you should be in a store
Interview Question – Tell me about a time when you had a limited amount of time and a list of things to get done. (para phrased) Answer Question

Interview Details – Received a call first from an automated staffing service. After going through the options, a real person got on the phone. They asked whether I could perform the essential duties. After speaking to them, they set up an interview for the following week.
Interview Question – What would you do if a customer was talking about their bad experience at the store? Answer Question
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Nov 2011 – Reviewed Jan 29, 2013
Interview Details –
its a 2 interview process. 1st on the phone, second in person.
the phone interview is generally a competency test, they ask how you would act in a situation where customers are arguing or cant find a product.
the second interview is more of a confidence test, where theyll just kind of see if you are neat and ask you what the job is and if you think you can do it. the face to face means youre already in, this job is more of a first come 1st serve kind of thing.
Interview Question – there are no difficult questions. its essentially a review of the online questions Answer Question
Negotiation Details – i didnt negotiate pay, since it was my 1st time above minimum wage, from what the other associates told me, they've been steadily dropping the wages on new hires, so aim for about 9.

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Feb 2011 – Reviewed May 24, 2012
Interview Details – Fairly straight forward hiring process. Begins online with basic info, skills, personality test, and basic IQ check. If that all checks out, a call center will call, ask a few more questions and verify info. Of course, if that all goes well, the HR at the store will call to schedule interview. Interview also fairly simple. Either the department manager will interview if they are available, if not the next manager in line will, if they aren't available, the HR manager will interview. If initial interview goes well, you will interview with the store manager. If that goes well you will be given directions to drug test and schedule orientation. As far as the attitude they're looking for, I'd say "Motivated" and "Self Starter" (As in you don't need a manager around to keep you working.) would be things to keep in mind.
Interview Question – Why are you a #1 draft pick? View Answer
Negotiation Details – As a non skilled or sales position, I wasn't given the opportunity to negotiate. If interviewing for a skilled/sales position you may be able to negotiate to 3-5% above lowest expected rate, based on previous experience/skills and of course how well the interview went.
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Aug 2011 – Reviewed Sep 21, 2011
Interview Details – I applied online at the careers website, and got an email stating I would recieve a phone interview. The phone interview was short, asked why I wanted to work there and why I applied for the position I did, and then gave a salary and asked if I was okay with it, and I said yes. Just say you love the environment and give some phony boloney reason for the position, don't say "Cuz it was available" or "Cuz I need a job", say something along the lines of "I think I would be a perfect fit given my skill set". I was told to go to a store interview a week later, I was given a few panel questions, then given a brief interview with the store manager, who asked about me, who I am, why I feel I belong there, was very friendly. I was offered the job on the spot, completed a drug test and waited for an orientation call.
Interview Question – How would you handle a situation in which you weren't experienced or qualified to answer a customer's complaint or question. View Answer
Negotiation Details – I was asked if a salary was ok, I just said yes because I was desperate for employment and didn't want to be turned down over a dispute. Beggars can't be choosers.
