Sales Administrative Assistant Interview (Neutral Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Hyatt.
Interview Details – First received a phone call from HR asking standard questions for the position. I then was asked to schedule an in person interview. I met with two sales managers and it was more of a get to know me interview and was very relaxed. I was asked normal questions about working as a team and my previous experience. After this I was called to come in for the final interview. Here I met with 5 different people and were told in more detail about the position and asked normal questions. All of them asked why hyatt and why this position.
Interview Question – Nothing was too hard, everything you would expect. Answer Question
Sales Assistant Interview (Neutral Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied online and interviewed at Hyatt.
Interview Details – Two interviews, very general questions. I was interviewed by three people, two at one time and once separately by the dept manager. Toured around the property, met the staff. I was a recent graduate and had no hotel experience so did not land the job. The sales manager suggested I come back again after I get some experience.
Interview Question – No question was very difficult. One example: How would you prioritize potential clients to pursue an account? Answer Question
Sales Event Manager Interview (Neutral Experience)
Interviewed at Hyatt
Interview Details – My experiences were exactly as someone posted. I applied online for this position. No response or feedback that the resume was actually received and then three weeks later, I received a letter thanking me for taking time to talk to them, but the position was filled. I never spoke with any individual from the organization. ! This is absolutely disgusting behavior from a leading brand. I will not stay at a HYATT nor apply for a position at this chain again. If this is the way they treat potential candidates, then imagine how they treat their employees.
Intern Interview (Neutral Experience)
Interviewed at Hyatt
Interview Details – Pretty standard interview, however one woman was very unprofessional. While trying to expose my character, she mentioned a lot of drinking and partying which made for an uncomfortable experience. However, the other staff I met were very professional and kind.

Storeroom Attendant Interview (Neutral Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and the process took 3 days - interviewed at Hyatt in February 2014.
Interview Details – I was caught off guard with a phone interview. Called two days ago but wisely let it go to voicemail as i did not recognize the number. Called back today and spoke to the HR person. She was nice on the phone but i again did not expect a phone interview as this was not stated in the message on my voicemail. What i expected was to be set up with a 1-1 interview. I was courteous and she did come across a little abrasive towards the end. I will probably not apply for a job at any Hyatt again,
Event Manager Interview (Neutral Experience)
I applied online and the process took a day - interviewed at Hyatt.
Interview Details – Just received a letter stating I wasn't what they were looking for- I believe if they had met me they would think differently.
IT Support Specialist Interview (Positive Experience; Easy Interview)
I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Hyatt in August 2013.
Interview Details – I had to apply online and waited for an initial call from the HR department in Chicago. After that they did an initial screening and scheduled the phone interview. The phone interview went well and was pleasant.
Interview Question – It was all expected questions. Answer Question
Event Manager Interview (Negative Experience; Difficult Interview)
I applied online and the process took 4 days - interviewed at Hyatt in October 2013.
Interview Details – I got a call from the Director of Human Resources Wednesday October 9, 2013.He left a message. In his message he said "I was following up on the resume you submited, if you can please give me a call..." . About 10 minutes later I called him back and left a voicemail. I called back Thursday and Friday and left a message still no call back. I called back again on Monday, again no call back. Finally on Tuesday October 15, 2013 he finally answers. I tell him my name and that I recieved his voicemail about the open position and he says "I'm sorry we are going with other candidates for this position". This was the most rediculous thing that's ever happened during my job search process. I was completely baffled by the unprofessionalism.
PBX Operator Interview (Neutral Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and the process took 2 days - interviewed at Hyatt in September 2013.
Interview Details – The first interview was a breeze. They called me back to meet with the department mgr and I thought I did okay but he was so stern and straight forward I got nervous. But overall I knew I didn't what the job after they told me what the start pay for the position would be. I'm glad they passed.
