Receiving/Replenishment Coworker Interview
I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks – interviewed at IKEA (West Sacramento, CA) in June 2012.
I applied and sent in my resume for two positions I felt I had the best experience in; recovery coworker and replenishment coworker. In about a week or so I received message on my phone and an email about contacting HR for a telephone interview. I was being considered for the replenishment coworker position. The interview was pretty painless and asked simple basic questions about personal work experience and what would you do in certain work place scenarios. After that I received an email about attending a group interview at the store. The group interview was in business casual attire and a little over an hour with our group of 12. We introduced ourselves and answered questions delving more into work experience and more what would you do questions. Also, they talked about the company and asked what experience do you have with Ikea in general. After a week, I got an email stating that they were pursued other candidates for the recovery coworker position and I also received a letter in the mail stating my denial of the job due to my bad credit. From beginning to end, the process happened under a month.
Kind of bummed I didn't get to work here. Ikea is like a big toy store for me and being new to the area, this job would have helped out a lot.

I applied online. The process took a day – interviewed at IKEA (Frisco, TX) in August 2011.
I posted my resume with IKEA on line. After appproximately a week I got a call from the home office for a phone interview. I was told someone would call me from my local store. Approximately 2 days later I got a call from my local IKEA to come in for an interview. After the interiew I was called back and asked to come in for an offer. At the time of the offer I was given a drug test and my schedule. The whole process from start to finish took about 2 weeks.

After you apply online within the 2 week window, they will call you within a few weeks with an interview schedule. They try to do group interviews, but if you ask for a 1:1 they are willing to make sure they can work it out with you if you ask.
- Will you be able to work before 5am? 1 Answer
I was unable to negotiate.
