    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at IMF.

    Interview

The panel interview was not challenging. First they briefly explained the structure of IMF and the job responsibility. Then asked basic questions about international finance. The HR asked questions about the career path and some behavioral questions. Finally, there was an Excel test, focusing on the international finance theories instead the manipulation of Excel. Interviewers were very nice.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at IMF (Washington, DC) in July 2012.

    Interview

The process is quite "dark". The positions are not posted anywhere. I got the interview because a friend worked there and knew somebody in the department, even though I didn't fulfill the requirements.

    Typical DC job hunting.
